Recently, FPT Software (a subsidiary of FPT Corporation) and the Institute for Control Engineering and Automation (ICEA) (Hanoi University of Science and Technology- HUST) signed a cooperation agreement on electric vehicle (EV) technology research and development (R&D).

Accordingly, ICEA will build a strong research team to examine EV technologies, including EV fast charging, onboard chargers (OCB), DC/DC Converters, and the energy storage system (ESS) for electric vehicles. In return, FPT Software provides funding to support ICEA's research and scientific publications. On that basis, the two sides can develop cooperation options in R&D and the production of EV-related prototypes.
