FPT sponsors VND 2 billion to HUST to build a new square

On 15 October 2022 in Hanoi, FPT Corporation awarded the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) a total of VND 2 billion for building Tran Dai Nghia Square. It was a gift of FPT to HUST on the occasion of the university's 66th anniversary.
In the total grant, there was VND 1 billion given by HUSTA-FPT - HUST Alumni Network in FPT, and VND 1 billion sponsored by FPT Corporation.
The sponsorship for the Tran Dai Nghia Square construction project was a remarkable highlight in the partnership between FPT and HUST. Located on Giai Phong Street, Tran Dai Nghia Square is promisingly a green space for students and lecturers and for hosting major academic and cultural events.

Mr. Hoang Nam Tien - Chairman of FPT Telecom, Head of HUSTA-FPT - said: "On behalf of 56,000 employees of FPT, let me show our joyful attitude on the 66th anniversary of HUST. Currently, FPT has 1,491 employees who are HUST alumni. Hundreds of them hold leadership and expert positions, and I hope FPT will have hundreds more in our workforce every year. Thank you to the lecturers and professors for inspiring generations of students so that FPT has highly qualified personnel contributing to the development of the Vietnamese IT industry.
Assoc. Prof. Tran Ngoc Khiem - Vice President of HUST - also expressed his sincere thank to FPT for the meaningful sponsorship. He hoped FPT would collaborate more deeply with the university in researching, training, and supporting students and graduates.

Also, on this occasion, FPT launched the HUST Alumni Association of those working at FPT Japan. Mr. Do Van Khac – CEO of FPT Japan - said that although living far from the country, all of the HUST alumni at FPT Japan were proud to celebrate the 66th anniversary of their beloved university. Furthermore, FPT Japan's CEO emphasized that studying at HUST and working at FPT were their pride and expected there would be more HUST students coming to FPT in the future.

For many years, HUST and FPT have had various strategic cooperations. In 2020, the two sides officially signed cooperation agreements in recruitment and R&D. In 2021, FPT established HUSTA-FPT (HUST Alumni Network at FPT) to promote business cooperation, technology research, and graduate support. The establishment of HUSTA-FPT demonstrated the commitment of HUST alumni at FPT to give wings to the young generations on the journey towards knowledge.
Besides, FPT Smart Cloud and the School of Information & Communication Technology (HUST) cooperated in AI research. FPT IS and HUST also signed a cooperation agreement to deploy a student assessment service for registration on the "khaothi.online" platform. In the coming time, FPT will continue to accompany HUST in academic contests and activities as well as organize technology-sharing seminars and career guidance for students.
