FPT teams up with HUST to train and research 4.0 technologies

The signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between FPT – The pioneer in digital transformation and Hanoi University of Science and Technology – the country’s leading IT HR training facility took place on November 18^th in Hanoi. The event reflects the two sides' efforts to train high-quality human resources in technology, while strongly promoting research and development activities for core technologies of Industry 4.0.

Mr. Hoang Viet Anh, Deputy General Director of FPT and Assoc.Prof. Dr. Huynh Dang Chinh, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Science and Technology signed a memorandum of understanding. Accordingly, FPT and Hanoi University of Science and Technology will coordinate to expand the network of training and scientific research in the fields of IT, Electronics and Telecommunications, Applied Informatics, Electricity, Mechanics, Foreign Language and Management.

Through this cooperation, FPT hopes to promote the collaboration between enterprises and universities in training high-quality IT human resources; creating an environment for research and development of the latest technologies of Industry 4.0; improving the quality of technology products and services, bringing benefits to millions of people. Hanoi University of Science and Technology hoped that the cooperation would shorten the process of putting research projects into practice, improve the quality of human resources, strengthen the combination of training with reality and create the best environment for talents to develop.

The two sides have set up a joint research group comprised of FPT’s leading experts and lecturers from School of Information and Communication Technology (SoICT) (Hanoi University of Science and Technology) which focus on the latest technologies of Industry 4.0 namely Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud, Big Data, Quantum Computing, Smart Devices, self-propelled vehicles.

As a pioneer in digital transformation, FPT has been developing "Make in Vietnam" platforms, products, and digital transformation solutions to support the digital transformation process of the government, organizations and enterprises towards a strong digital nation. In the future, the two sides will seek opportunities to develop technology products under the joint brand name.

Also within the framework of the cooperation, FPT commits to accompany and support Hanoi University of Science and Technology in building a system of specialized materials and a system of laboratories for training.

The two sides will also promote introduction of achievements and seminars on technology such as FPT Techday, Student Research Week etc.
