FPT Telecom appoints Director of Strategy & Planning

For the first time in 18 years FPT Telecom has appointed a Director of Strategy and Planning.

On 15 September, FPT Telecom Chairman Chu Thanh Ha has signed to release a decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Phu An as Director of Strategy and Planning of the company. The decision would take effect for 3 years from 15 September 2015 to 14 September 2018.

The newly - appointed Director of Strategy & Planning would take such responsibilities as studying and assisting in designing strategies and long-term and short-term plans; developing and implementing plans and strategies in all units under FPT Telecom; ensuring the best quality for activities and plans to carry out strategies; reporting strategy implementation progress and plans, as well as giving advices on new trends in technologies, business and strategic products for the Chairman and CEO..

He is the former Deputy General Director of Smart Media – a Communication, Multimedia and Advertising Corporation founded by major shareholders such as VNPT, Vietnam Television, MobiFone and an international media group WPP.

The Director of Strategy and Planning of FPT Telecom got Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering at University of Sophia (Bulgaria) and MBA degree at University of Hawaii.

Previously, he has worked for Vinaphone as Manager of mobile network management and development engineers for 5 year and for VNPT as a participant in making strategic plans, business plans, managing investment projects, negotiating economic contracts in the field of mobile communications, Internet and broadband...

On January 31, FPT Telecom turned 18 years of age, marking a significant milestone. From a small center in 1997, FPT Telecom has become the leading telecommunications and Internet service supplier in Vietnam.

Currently, FPT Telecom’s Leadership Board includes Chairman Chu Thanh Ha; CEO Nguyen Van Khoa and four Deputy General Directors including Hoang Trung Kien, Vu Mai Huong, Chu Hung Thang and Nguyen Hoang Linh. Additionally, the company also has Chief Technology Officer Vu Anh Tu, HR Director Pham Thi Thanh Toan and Chief Financial Officer Nguyen Thanh Binh.
