FPT Telecom Chairwoman among Vietnam’s 20 Most Influential businesswomen
Forbes Vietnam has announced the list of the 50 most influential Vietnamese women in 2017, 20 of whom are businesswomen. FPT Telecom Chairwoman Chu Thanh Ha is the only representative of the telecommunication industry in business area.

Forbes Vietnam has announced the list of the 50 most influential Vietnamese women in 2017, 20 of whom are businesswomen. FPT Telecom Chairwoman Chu Thanh Ha is the only representative of the telecommunication industry in business area.
“Ms. Chu Thanh Ha is one of few female senior leaders of FPT Corporation", Forbes wrote. "Shortly after graduating from the National Economics University in 1994, she joined FPT and has worked for Vietnam's leading corporate information technology company over the past 23 years".
Ms. Chu Thi Thanh Ha was born in 1974. She graduated from Hanoi National Economic University and got an MBA at University of Haiwaii at Manoa, the U.S. Having worked for FPT Telecom since its inception, Ms. Chu Thanh Ha has contributed a lot to the company. She took on Deputy General Director of FPT Corp cum Chairwwoman of FPT Telecom in March 2011. Over the past few years, FPT Telecom has made a tremendous shift, from business results to operation in the digital transformation trend.
FPT Telecom currently has 7,000 employees, owning a North-South axis of more than 9,500km, covering 59 provinces and cities and expanding its coverage beyond the borders with two offices in Cambodia and Myanmar.

The criteria for this list are financial or positive influence and frequency of appearance in social media. In business area, there are more prominent women, with up to 20 people, and their influence can be clearly seen from the leading position of the companies they led.
Forbes Vietnam will hold Women’s Summit 2017: "Women Bettering the World" - the biggest event about women in Vietnam with more than 1000 participants. The event aims to highlight the List of Vietnam’s Most Influential Women in 2017, to raise awareness on important issues related to women empowerment and entrepreneurship, inspire women to take leadership roles in a changing world.
