FPT participated in the Semiconductor Industry Exhibition Tokyo 2026, held from June 10–12 at Tokyo Big Sight International Exhibition Center, Japan. The event was part of JPCA Show 2026, one of Asia’s leading exhibitions for electronics technology, semiconductors, integrated circuit design, packaging, and electronics manufacturing.

At the exhibition, FPT showcased the message “Chip Make in Vietnam, Made by FPT,” highlighting its capabilities in contributing to the global semiconductor supply chain from Vietnam. The company also presented its IC design solutions, engineering services across the semiconductor value chain, and AI, cloud computing, and digital transformation solutions serving high-tech industries.

As part of the event, Mr. Murakami Masahiro, Presales Director of the Semiconductor Division, FPT Japan, FPT Corporation, delivered a presentation on Vietnam’s semiconductor industry development policies and FPT’s strategic initiatives in the sector. The session, held on June 12, focused on explaining national-level policies and how businesses can translate them into practical implementation.

According to FPT, Vietnam is transitioning from a model centered on attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) toward building a comprehensive semiconductor ecosystem that integrates talent development, chip design, manufacturing, and testing. This transformation provides a foundation for Vietnamese companies to participate more deeply in the global semiconductor value chain.

FPT is currently developing key capabilities in semiconductor design through FPT Semiconductor, testing and packaging services, and large-scale workforce development. The company plans to begin operations at its semiconductor testing and packaging facility in Bac Ninh in 2026 and aims to train 10,000 semiconductor engineers by 2030.

Mr. Murakami Masahiro also highlighted the growing potential for collaboration between Vietnam and Japan as Japan faces challenges related to talent shortages and rising production costs. Vietnam is increasingly recognized as an attractive destination for expanding R&D activities, optimizing costs, and building a more flexible regional supply chain.

The Semiconductor Industry Exhibition Tokyo 2026 brought together companies, organizations, and experts from Japan and around the world across the semiconductor and electronics sectors.

FPT’s participation not only strengthened connections with Japanese technology companies and partners but also contributed to advancing Vietnam–Japan cooperation in semiconductors, enabling Vietnam’s “Make in Vietnam” capabilities to integrate more deeply into global supply chains.

The exhibition covered the entire semiconductor value chain, including IC design, materials, manufacturing equipment, testing and packaging, and related technologies. It also served as a platform for industry stakeholders to share technology trends, discuss policy developments, and explore collaboration opportunities amid the continued growth of the global semiconductor market.
