FPT to promote wood processing sector’s digital transformation

FPT Corporation signed co-operation agreements with the Handicraft and Wood Industry Association of HCM City (HAWA), the Bình Dương Furniture Association (BIFA) and the Handicraft and Wood Industry Association of Đồng Nai (DOWA) on March 5th 2020 on promoting digital transformation. This effort was made to contribute to the development of the wood processing industry, towards USD20 billion in export revenue by 2025.
With its experience, technology and high-quality human resources, FPT will give advice on the digital transformation strategy to members of the associations. FPT will also help build databases for the wood processing industry and digitalize management activities for the associations and their members, and introduce the latest IT technologies to associations and their members.
The deal was signed amid the COVID-19 outbreak, which severely hindered wood processing in China, and considerably impacted the global supply chain. As a result, that many international clients had to expand outside China has created abundant new opportunities for the youthful, innovative and dynamic market of Vietnam. To accelerate speed and adaptability, Vietnamese wood companies need to optimize operations and save costs, in order to create breakthroughs in the market.
