FPT University comes third at online round of Northern region ACM/ICPC

On October 2, Unstoppable from FPT University came third at the online round of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ACM/ICPC) 2016 in the Northern region.

On October 2, Unstoppable from FPT University came third at the online round of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ACM/ICPC) 2016 in the Northern region.

Five teams of FPT University including Unstoppable, Acceptable, Outstanding, Incredible and Code Hunter joined this round.

All of the five teams got encouraging results. In particular, Unstoppable solved 8 out of 11 problems in the shortest time possible, getting 647 points and won the third place.

Acceptable and Outstanding solved 7/11 problems and gained 523 and1.408 points. Solving 6/11, Incredible gained 684 points and Code Hunter got 634 points with 4 solved problems.


All of the five teams from FPT University got encouraging results.

According to Mr. Huynh Anh Dung, Head of the ACM / ICPC delegation of FPT University, in 2015, Unstoppable was in average level but reached a high position this year. As Code Hunter members were mostly freshmen, their result was very encouraging. FPT University students made great effort iat this year’s ACM/ICPC".

According to the rules for this year’s contest, all teams will overcome 3 regional online rounds and national online round, then the best team for official round held at the University of Nha Trang from November 29 to December 2.
