FPT University signs training agreement with VINASA

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Deputy Prime Minister of Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Minister of Education and Training – Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhan.

The cooperation agreement will be effective within 5 years, herewith FPT University will design training curriculum, improve courses, grant certificates at different levels, majors required by the VINASA. FPT University will carry out surveys on work force demands of VINASA on quantitative, professional knowledge, practice skills and personal quality with aim to design curriculum, training programs so as to provide society with high quality workforce; also recommend senior students to VINASA and other enterprises for recruitments.

Furthermore, VINASA will deliver information on workforce and orders on training, improvements of its members to FPT University . VINASA will join evaluations process of training programs, FPT University builds and adjusts programs tuned standards required by the information technology sector and enterprises. This is an important step, helping meet the need of high quality workforce in line with international standards of Vietnam software companies.

At the workshop on “Training information technology and telecommunications workforce on enterprises’ demands”, FPT University officially announces the decision of FPT Management Board Chairman on personnel development scheme of FPT Software Joint Stock Company, FPT Information System Joint Stock Company and assignment on human resource training for FPT University. Herewith, FPT University will be responsible for devising human resource training programs and schemes to meet with 50% workforce of the two above mentioned companies until 2015. As planned FPT Software Joint Stock Company will have 35,000 employees and 4,000 employees for FPT Information System Joint Stock Company, respectively in 2015.

“Close coordination with VINASA and other members of FPT Corporation in designing training programs, technology information updates, nominating qualified experts to give lectures, tutoring and instructing junior students in projects are strongly believed to narrow the gap between university education and companies’ workforce demands.” Stressed by FPT University Rector – Mr. Le Truong Tung.

Facing the fact that 50% graduates who need re-training as currently they are not met with career requirements, it’s hoped that close cooperation between training organization and companies will help deal with existing problems in the education sector. Besides the agreement, FPT University has joined hands with world leading information technology enterprises such as Microsoft, IBM, Hitachi Software in term of programs, technology and application transfer in the teaching at FPT University towards the target all students will get jobs after graduation in the international environment./
