Hanoi, May 19, 2026 – FPT, Vietnam’s leading technology corporation, and Tokushukai, Japan’s largest private healthcare group, officially announced a partnership to drive digital transformation in healthcare and medical services. The event marks a concrete step toward implementing the broader Vietnam–Japan strategic cooperation agenda following the recent official visit of the Japanese Prime Minister to Vietnam.

The event was attended by Mr. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health; Mr. Ito Naoki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam; representatives from government agencies; and leaders from FPT and Tokushukai Group.

Under the agreement, FPT and its affiliated companies will be authorized to use the Tokushukai Healthcare Group brand in healthcare-related activities in Vietnam. In addition, FPT and Tokushukai will collaborate to develop and promote advanced IT solutions for healthcare and medical services across hospital systems in both Vietnam and Japan.

The partnership between two leading organizations in healthcare and technology is expected to create meaningful contributions to the healthcare sector, especially as technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things, and cloud computing continue to advance rapidly.

At the event, representatives from both sides shared their visions and expectations for future cooperation.

Mr. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health, stated:

"In today's context, digital transformation in healthcare is not merely about applying technology—it is a comprehensive transformation process encompassing management, operations, and service delivery. I believe today’s partnership will create value beyond the scope of a cooperation agreement. It represents the integration of technology, management, and medicine, with the ultimate goal of delivering more effective, comprehensive, and sustainable healthcare services for the people."
