FPT secured its position in the top reputable technology companies of 2023

FPT has entered the top reputable technology companies and dominated two leading positions in the technology service providers, software solutions, and system integration categories in 2023.

FPT ranks among the top 10 reputable Information Technology - Telecommunications companies in 2023, according to Vietnam Report in June 2023.

On June 12, the Top 10 reputable technology companies ranking in 2023 was officially announced by Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company. The ranking consists of two categories: The Top 10 respected information technology and telecommunications companies in 2023 and The Top 10 reputable technology companies providing software solutions and system integration in 2023.

FPT continued its sustainable growth in the first four months of 2023, with revenues and pre-tax profits reaching 15,749 billion VND and 2,880 billion VND, respectively, representing 21.2% and 19.1% growth rates. The after-tax profit for the company's shareholders and EPS stood at 2,019 billion VND and 1,841 VND, respectively, showing an increase of 20% and 19.3%.

J.P. Morgan, one of the world's leading and longest-standing companies in financial services, investment banking, and asset management, predicts that FPT's annual compounded profit growth rate for 2022-2025 will exceed 20%. According to J.P. Morgan, the competitive advantages in terms of cost, technological capabilities, especially in the digital transformation services segment, expansion into new customer segments, and large-scale contracts, along with its global strategy, will contribute to FPT's strong growth.

According to the organizing committee, the reputation of technology companies is evaluated objectively and independently based on the assessment of the financial capabilities of the companies, as well as their fame in the media through the Media Coding method. The survey, conducted in May-June 2023, involved research subjects and relevant parties. The survey conducted by Vietnam Report in March 2023 indicated that the Information Technology-Telecommunications sector ranked first among the top seven industries with projected growth potential for at least 2-3 years, chosen by 63.6% of surveyed businesses.

According to the Ministry of Information and Communications report, in 2022, the revenue of the Information Technology Industry was estimated at $148 billion, representing a growth rate of 8.7%. The number of digital technology companies registered reached around 70,000, an increase of 9.5% compared to 2021. Since the "Make in Vietnam" theme was introduced, the Information Technology Telecommunications sector has become an economic driving force for the country. It also leads and creates the foundation for digital economic and social development and digital government initiatives. The contribution of the Information Technology Industry to the GDP and the export turnover of hardware and electronics have shown an increase compared to 2021 (8.7% and 11.6%, respectively).

In 2022, Vietnam was listed among a few countries that produced chips worldwide, and foreign direct investment (FDI) from businesses in Vietnam gradually shifted from outsourcing to investment in research and development, establishing R&D centers in the country. Approximately 60% of the outsourcing companies have shifted their focus from low-value-added individual production stages to providing comprehensive solutions and high-value products.
