FPTers donates VND1.2 billion to support flood victims
From November 14th to 18th, FPT volunteers visited and presented many gifts at a total cost of nearly VND1.2 billion to households in Hoa Bing, Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen and Hue.

From November 14th to 18th, FPT volunteers visited and presented many gifts at a total cost of nearly VND1.2 billion to households in Hoa Bing, Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen and Hue.
An influence of tropical- low depression and Storm Damrey have caused huge losses for residents in many provinces and cities across the country. In order to help flood victims, groups of FPT volunteers visited and presented gifts to people in the most severely affected areas.
Khanh Hoa province, Phu Yen province and Thua Thien - Hue province were the hardest hit regions by Storm Damrey. 1,800 gifts each worth VND500,000 and 30 cows were given to households to help them ease their difficulties and losses caused by recent floods and heavy rains.
The residents in Ninh Son commune got relief materials.
On November 14, the team visited people in Ninh Son commune (Ninh Hoa district, Khanh Hoa province). According to Pham Minh Long, Chairman of Ninh Son Commune People's Committee, Storm Damrey has left 2 people dead, 3 others injured and 70 houses totally destroyed and 59 severely damaged and 82% without roofs.
People, especially fishermen and farmers in Van Khanh - Van Phuoc - Van Long (Van Ninh, Khanh Hoa) were severely affected. According to Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Chairwoman of Van Long Commune People's Committee, Storm Damrey has left 14 houses totally destroyed, 40 severely damaged and 2,080 without roofs.
The team handed over 600 gifts to people in Khanh Hoa province.
Then, on November 15, the team continued to visit residents in four mountainous communes of Dong Xuan district (Phu Yen). In addition to 300 gifts, 30 cows worth VND150 million were given to households.
On November 18, 900 gifts were given to flood victims in Quang Hien commune, Quang Dien district, and Phong An commune, Phong Dien district (Thua Thien Hue).
Another team of FPT volunteers visited and handed over gifts to two schools in Hoa Binh. These are buried in the mud and the infrustructure is almost completely destroyed. They presented 04 sets of computers, 02 printers, a bookcase, a documentation cabinet, a plumbing system and 460 classroom sets, candies worth VND140 million.
The students are eager to receive gifts.
According to Ms. Truong Thanh Thanh, Director of FPT's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), these gifts from nearly 30,000 FPTers in 21 countries were expected to help flood-hit people ease their difficulties and losses caused by recent floods and heavy rains.
