09/07/2025

FPTU AI & Robotics Challenge 2025 (FARC 2025) – a nationwide technology competition organized by FPT University – has officially concluded its regional robotics rounds, announcing the top 50 outstanding teams advancing to the National Grand Finale to be held in Hanoi this August.

A Technology Playground – Inspiring Passion for Innovation Among Students Nationwide

From June 21 to July 6, more than 180 teams from provinces and cities across Vietnam competed in five major locations: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Quy Nhon (Gia Lai), and Can Tho. With the theme “Sustainable Agriculture,” the Robotics round took students on a journey to tackle practical technology challenges simulating real-world scenarios such as greenhouse operations, seed production, and distribution. During the 2-minute-30-second competition, each team was required to coordinate closely in an alliance format (2 teams – 2 robots), performing tasks simultaneously and sequentially.

The Robotics round was considered one of the most thrilling and intense stages of the competition.

The fierce regional matches attracted large crowds of high school students, parents, and technology enthusiasts. The Hanoi event (held on June 21–22) was the most vibrant, featuring nearly 90 teams; Da Nang and Quy Nhon (held on July 3–4) witnessed impressive breakthroughs from new Robotics teams; while Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho (held on July 5–6) demonstrated strong technical thinking, device mastery, and strategic skills.

As a result, the 50 best-performing teams from this round have been selected for the Grand Finale, including: 20 teams from the North, 15 from Ho Chi Minh City, 10 from Da Nang & Quy Nhon, and 5 from Can Tho. The Grand Finale will take place at FPT University Hanoi on August 2–3, 2025, featuring a series of exciting prizes: 2 First Prizes, 2 Second Prizes, 2 Third Prizes, special awards, and full scholarships from FPT University.

FARC 2025 attracted 636 teams from across the country.

A Real-World Playground – Inspiring Future Career Aspirations

“We aim to build not only a competition around technology but also a platform for students to develop essential skills such as negotiation, strategic thinking, and teamwork with other teams. This is also a valuable opportunity for them to connect and interact with peers from different regions – where they can exchange not only knowledge but also diverse cultural experiences from across Vietnam,” shared MSc. Lê Ngọc Tuấn, Director of Technology Experience – FPT Education Organization, FPT Corporation.

Many contestants, despite being new to Robotics, quickly adapted and made a lasting impression. Student Chấn Long – member of team Sognatori from Nguyễn Công Trứ High School (Ho Chi Minh City) – shared that the competition gave him greater insight into mechanics and electronics. “We got to experience working like in a real project, with clear processes, strict deadlines, and teamwork just like professionals. It gave me access to fields I never thought I would explore. This was a truly valuable experience that opened up new directions for my future,” Long said.

FARC 2025 is a large-scale technology competition organized by FPT University – where students not only learn theory but also gain real-world experience through competitions, projects, corporate internships, and innovation activities. Through these experiences, young people gradually develop critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability – the core competencies for success in the age of AI and automation.
