FSB grants scholarships worth VND 3 billion to those with outstanding leadership

On April 19, FPT School of Business under FPT University announced “MBA Future Leaders Scholarships" including more than 100 scholarships worth up to VND 3 billion. The program aims to spot people with outstanding leadership qualities so they can be trained to become talented leaders in the future.

To apply for this scholarship, candidates need access to http://quiz.fsb.edu.vn/ to answer multiple-choice questions about leadership & management. Via this test, candidates can better recognize their capacity for future development. Those with outstanding leadership qualities will be selected to the next round of interview. For those in favor of management, the result will become the basis for plans to arouse their potentials.

With more than 100 scholarships, the fund is divided into 5 different levels depending on candidates’ own capabilities; VND 47 million is the highest amount, equivalent to 50% of the total tuition fees for the course. These candidates are given priorities including outstanding individuals working at Top 500 Vietnam Enterprises - VNR 500 in 2015; celebrities; people with national prizes or outstanding achievements; leaders of social communities; people with great influence on their society or outstanding leadership qualities. These individuals will be selected to the interview round no matter how high their test scores are.

"MBA Future Leader Scholarship aims to accompany the Vietnamese entrepreneurs during integration, spot and train potential leaders, as well as help candidates orient their capabilities and perfect their leadership skills,” said Mr. Ha Nguyen, Director of FSB.

Those who are open to the scholarship must be a Vietnamese citizen, eligible for postgraduate programs as stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Training; having at least 2 years of work experience; leadership qualities, ambition and determination.

The process is divided into three rounds.

Round 1 lasts from April 15 to May 05, 2016, applicants answer multiple-choice questions about leadership & management at http://quiz.fsb.edu.vn/.

Round 2 from May 05 – November 05, 2016, candidates who successfully pass Round 1 will receive an email asking them prepare scholarship application procedure. The documents must be submitted to the Admission Office, FSB or email: [email protected].

Round 3 takes place on April 23 and May 11, candidates with high scores and good record will be selected to the interview. The judges include veterans of FPT Corporation: Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam - former CEO of FPT Corporation; Mr. Hoang Nam Tien - Chairman of FPT Software; Nguyen Hoang Ha - COO; Mr. Dam Quang Minh – Rector of FPT University; Ha Nguyen - Director of FSSB and a number of reputable entrepreneurs and experts in the field of business administration.

Judges will decide scholarships based on four criteria including: Online score (20%); Degree, Grade Point Average, certificates (20%); Impact on the community, potential contribution to the community (30%); Outstanding leadership qualities in interview round (30%).
