FPT’s VertZéro Solution Earns International Certification for Carbon Emission Accounting Methodology

Recently, VertZéro, the automated greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory solution developed by FPT Corporation, was awarded the “Certified Calculation Method for Corporate Carbon Footprints” certification by Germany’s TÜV Rheinland. This marks the first Make in Vietnam technology solution to receive this certification, affirming the quality of FPT’s corporate carbon footprint (CCF) calculation technology at an international standard, comparable to leading solutions from Germany, the United States, and other developed nations.

The “Certified Calculation Method for Corporate Carbon Footprints” certificate was assessed and issued by TÜV Rheinland Energy & Environment GmbH – a reputable and independent German technical inspection organization.

With more than 150 years of experience, TÜV Rheinland is known for its complete independence, ensuring absolute objectivity throughout its evaluation process. TÜV’s rigorous assessment procedures not only uphold its strong reputation across Europe but are also recognized and legally valid worldwide.

The “Certified Calculation Method for Corporate Carbon Footprints” certification represents one of the most advanced and stringent global standards for greenhouse gas inventory solutions. To achieve it, technological solutions must meet a comprehensive set of criteria, including: compliance with international GHG inventory standards (GHG Protocol); transparency and traceability of data sources; consistency and completeness in defining organizational boundaries and emission sources; accurate calculations covering all emission scopes (Scope 1, 2, and 3); and eligibility for independent verification and third-party auditing. In addition, the system must ensure user-friendliness, flexibility to meet each enterprise’s needs, error-control mechanisms, and strict quality assurance standards.

After more than one year following the certification process, the VertZéro team worked closely with experts in Germany, leading to TÜV Rheinland officially granting VertZéro the “Certified Calculation Method for Corporate Carbon Footprints” certification. This recognition serves as strong proof of the quality and reliability of a Make in Vietnam solution, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with global green technology platforms such as Plan A (Germany), osapiens (Germany), CarbonSifr (Middle East), and SINAI (United States)...
