Google, Microsoft and FPT discuss how to build ecosystem for tech community

On May 18, FPT Techday 2016 will take place at New World hotel, HCMC. The tech community in Vietnam will have an opportunity to meet Mr. Rajan Anandan, Vice President & Managing Director of Google Southeast Asia & India; Ms. Kirsten Gillbertson, public and private cloud sales lead with Microsoft in Asia-Pacific and hundreds of experts from giants namely MasOffer, MOG, MoMo, ELSA ... The event is free for everyone.

At the event, the Google representative will share the latest trends in the digital age, and reveal some development plans in the Asia Pacific. The Microsoft representative will also share experiences of Microsoft Azure in community building.

FPT Tech Day 2016 will see FPT open source some of its platforms to the startup community. Some firms such as MOG, MoMo…will also join the ecosystem and open its platforms to the startup community.

Besides the speakers’ experiences, participants will also discuss emerging topics such as how to build a strong ecosystem in Vietnam, what tech giants will do for the community. In addition, they can visit the product demo area of FPT, MoMo, MOG, YouNet Media, Gremsy, ANTS, CyRadar etc. Le Hong Vietnam, Chief Technology Officer of FPT Corporation expects that experiences from Google, Microsoft and FPT as well as open-sourced platforms will create a new wave of startups, contributing to improving Vietnam's position on the digital map.

FPT Tech is an annual event organized by FPT Corporation. In 2016, with the theme of "Connectivity for Breakthrough", FPT Technology Day will be an open forum for technology experts inside and outside FPT to discus and develop ideas, technology products in a new ecosystem.

Some speakers at FPT Tech Day 2016

1. Mr. Rajan Anandan, Vice President & Managing Director of Google Southeast Asia & India. He joined Google in 2011 and has made significant contributions to expanding the Internet ecosystem in Asia Pacific. He ever held several senior positions at some giants such as Microsoft, Dell, McKinsey & Company.
2. Mr. Truong Gia Binh, FPT Chairman.  After successfully defending his doctoral thesis at the mathematics department of Moscow State University, he returned home and cherished a desire "to contribute to national prosperity." His desire is reflected in FPT’s vision and mission since its inception. For more than 26 years, he has always been known as a man who has ambitious ideas and aspirations as well as sets out important strategic orientations, helping FPT become Vietnam’s leading IT firm in private sector.
3. Mr. Le Hong Viet, FPT CTO. Joining FPT in 2005, he has made an important contribution to laying the foundation for and developing new technologies in FPT such as Cloud Computing, Enterprise Mobility, Big Data etc. Taking the position as FPT CTO since November 2015, Mr. Viet expects to gather the wisdom of the community to create successful products and services, then building a strong technology ecosystem.
4. Tran Huu Duc, Director of FPT Ventures. He ever took the position as Director of G5, FPT Software, and CTO of FMA. Since 2013, he is CTO of FPT Trading and a member of FPT Technology Council.
5. Ms. Ngo Thuy Ngoc Tu, co-founder of ELSA. ELSA, or English Language Speech Assistant was awarded first prize at the SXSWedu 2016 Launch Startup Competition in the U.S. in March 2016.
