A case study analyzing FPT Corporation’s strategic growth and international expansion has just been published by the Asian Business Case Centre (ABCC) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, under the title “Becoming World-class: Leading the Strategic Transformation of FPT Vietnam.”

The study is now available on three of the world’s most prestigious case-distribution platforms:
• Ivey Publishing
• Harvard Business Impact
• The Case Centre
These platforms supply case studies and teaching materials for leading global business schools, including MBA and executive programs worldwide.
Addressing the question, “How can a Vietnamese company go global and compete with the world’s technology giants?”, the research examines FPT’s journey to becoming Vietnam’s leading IT corporation, its expansion into international markets, and its efforts to stay ahead of emerging technology trends.
The case study also explores the philosophy behind the “FPT Way”—a management style inspired by Vietnam’s wartime resilience, emphasizing agility, speed, and a mindset that aligns corporate goals with national development. It highlights FPT’s strategic turning points, from software exports to investments in AI, semiconductors, and its long-term strategy in developing high-quality tech talent through FPT University.

The selection of FPT’s story by researchers at NTU and its publication on leading international platforms demonstrates the academic community’s increasing interest in the rise of Vietnamese tech enterprises.
The case study is expected to be incorporated into classroom teaching at Nanyang Business School and Nanyang Technological University, particularly in MBA and advanced management programs. It will also be used by educational institutions, training centers, and global organizations seeking insights into strategic transformation and global expansion from a fast-growing technology corporation in Southeast Asia.
