HOPE Inpatient School Welcomes 200 Students

HOPE inpatient school welcomed 200 children orphaned by COVID-19 from 41 provinces across Vietnam in the 2022-2023 school year. 

More than 200 students participated in the Welcome Ceremony to join HOPE School

On August 1-2, hundreds of students from across the nation gathered at HOPE School, where they were raised and trained by FPT. The school is in FPT Smart Nano Building, FPT City, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City.

The safe transportation of students to Da Nang was carried out in different provinces. In particular, they chose five local points to gather them, including HCMC, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Lam Dong, and Can Tho. From those points, the children traveled by plane, with the support of Vietjet Air, to Da Nang - the central coastal city. In Da Nang city and its surrounding areas, students went by personal or service vehicles with the support of school staff. The relatives of some students also went to Da Nang to visit HOPE facilities where their children would live and study in the coming years.

After arriving in Da Nang, the "newbies" of the HOPE inpatient school underwent activities to get acquainted and experience the new learning environment, such as grouping, listening to rules, being allocated equipment, receiving accommodations...  
The students also attended the welcome ceremony and listened to the founding members of HOPE school, which helped them get more faith to overcome losses and be resilient to study, grow and develop. 

Welcoming the students, Mr.Truong Gia Binh, Founder of HOPE School and Chairman of FPT Corporation, affirmed that this was indeed a school of love. 

"The teachers will care for you, nurture you, teach you, with love. Moreover, the school will best facilitate you to pursue your passion for science or technology, art or sports, economy or society", Mr.Truong Gia Binh said.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Quyen - Director of HOPE School Project - added: "We have prepared facilities, human resources and added more skills training activities to help you stabilize and develop age-appropriate psycho-physical skills comprehensively".

In addition to the internal resources of FPT Corporation and the founding members, over the past time, HOPE Inpatient School has received the collaboration of different organizations and businesses such as Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, Thien Long Group, Vietjet Air, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF), Tan Long Group, Phan Chau Trinh University…. Those entities supported and provided some necessities to take care of the children's lives and studies.

About HOPE Inpatient School

HOPE Inpatient School, founded by FPT Corporation and Hope Foundation, was located in FPT City Danang Urban Area (Da Nang City). It was born with the desire to love, share and care for children who lost their parents because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Previously, on September 16, 2021, FPT's Chairman Truong Gia Binh initiated the idea of building a school for children who lost their parents due to COVID-19 with the desire to create a safe environment for them to be cared for, loved, and trained. In addition, the school aimed to turn their pain into power, growing up and contributing to the country's future growth.
