Hope School – A Place Where Pain Turns into Strength

Da Nang, August 8, 2025 – Hope School officially inaugurated its new campus located in the FPT City Urban Area, Da Nang. The ceremony took place in a warm and emotional atmosphere with the attendance of leaders from Da Nang City, the provinces of Lao Cai, Gia Lai, and Quang Tri, along with more than 150 guests representing various organizations, businesses, and individuals from both Vietnam and abroad who have supported the school over the years.

Established in 2021 by FPT Corporation and the Hope Foundation, Hope School, situated in FPT City Da Nang, was founded to share love, nurture, and educate children who lost their parents to the COVID-19 pandemic. The school currently houses more than 300 students from 29 provinces and cities and 13 ethnic groups across Vietnam. Under its roof, the children are raised in love and provided with a high-quality learning environment, with the belief that they will grow into kind, compassionate individuals ready to contribute to their communities and the nation.

The new campus of Hope School covers a total area of over 6,500 square meters. The facility consists of two main areas: a modern academic building and a fully equipped dormitory complex designed to ensure the best living and learning conditions for students. In addition, there are specialized functional rooms such as a library, robotics lab, music room, and baking kitchen, allowing students to study, practice, and explore their personal talents through diverse experiences.

During the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang – Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee – emphasized: “The establishment of Hope School represents a noble act embodying the Vietnamese tradition of compassion and solidarity, aligning with the Party and State’s philosophy of ensuring that no one is left behind. I firmly believe that with FPT’s experience in holistic education and management, Hope School will provide a safe, comfortable learning environment where students can grow with confidence and happiness. The city is currently building six schools for border-adjacent mountain communes, and I suggest that the education sector learn from Hope School’s management model. Sharing the same philosophy of education rooted in love, Mr. Truong Gia Binh – Chairman of FPT Corporation and Chairman of the Founding Council of Hope School, stated: “Hope School is a place where pain turns into strength. This loss will never fade away, but instead of fearing it, let’s face it together – with teachers, with friends – and find ways to overcome it. Be the bravest people, overcome every challenge of today and tomorrow, grow into kind, generous individuals, and contribute your best to society.”

Four Years of Growing Up in Love

Hundreds of guests and Hope School students participated in a touching moment, releasing paper airplanes symbolizing dreams and wishes soaring into the sky. Each flight represented the growing hopes and aspirations of the students for a bright and open future ahead.

We are deeply thankful to the land of Da Nang and to the countless kind-hearted people across the country who, together with FPT, have nurtured this hope – so that these children can step into life with confidence and compassion.”

Over the years, Hope School has received generous support from many organizations and enterprises, including Phan Chau Trinh Medical University, Tam Tri Hospital, Thien Long Group, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation (VSF), Tan Long Group, Nestlé, Jomoo, and others. Each student carries their own story, but through the care of teachers and the friendship of peers, they have grown together – confidently moving toward the future. At Hope School, students live in an environment of both love and discipline, like one big family where older students mentor younger ones and everyone supports each other.

During the past school year, Hope School students achieved remarkable accomplishments, such as: Bronze Medal at the ICIA 2025 International Science and Technology Innovation Competition, Innovation Award at the Robothon 2024 Final held in Thailand, Third Prize at the National STEM Competition – Green STEM 2025, 100% high school graduation rate, along with numerous awards in science, technology, and the arts.
