The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions to expand cooperation in digital transformation, focusing on key areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), semiconductors, and young talent development.

One of the key proposals was to establish a Joint Working Group comprising representatives from government, businesses, and experts to build a semiconductor ecosystem and promote digital transformation across multiple sectors in Indonesia.

The delegation also explored opportunities for collaboration with FPT in developing educational programs to nurture young talent equipped with future-ready technology skills. As a pioneering technology corporation in Vietnam, FPT has been focusing on education to build a high-quality workforce in advanced technology fields such as AI and semiconductors, addressing talent demands not only for Vietnam but also for global markets.

Speaking at the event, FPT Chairman Dr. Truong Gia Binh stated that, drawing from its experience in implementing digital transformation for provinces and enterprises worldwide, FPT is ready to share its expertise and become a strategic partner of Indonesia in shaping a people-centric digital economy, based on data, AI, chips, and human development.

Sharing the same perspective, Mr. Rachmat Pambudy, Minister of National Development Planning (Bappenas) of Indonesia, expressed admiration for Vietnam’s and FPT’s determination and efforts in advancing digital transformation, noting that this spirit is exactly what Indonesia needs to drive its comprehensive digital revolution. “What you are striving for with all your heart is exactly what Indonesia needs today,” he said, affirming that FPT is “the difference-maker” he wishes to partner with in Indonesia’s new era of digital transformation.

Mr. Arsjad Rasjid, Chairman of the Indonesia Business Council (IBC), emphasized the crucial role of semiconductors in driving other industries such as electric vehicles and ESG. He expressed his hope that Indonesia could build a semiconductor ecosystem through collaboration with neighboring countries like Vietnam. “We are deeply impressed by what Vietnam and FPT are building, not only in technology but also in people. We look forward to collaborating with Vietnam in this field, and the establishment of a Joint Working Group is an ideal initiative to realize that vision,” shared Mr. Arsjad Rasjid.

This visit continues the series of successful cooperation between FPT and partners in Indonesia. Recently, FPT signed a framework agreement with KMP Aryadhana, a leading Indonesian trading and innovation company, to promote the application of advanced technologies over the next five years. The Group has also been deploying cutting-edge AI solutions for Pertamina, Indonesia’s largest oil and gas corporation. Since entering the Indonesian market in 2017, FPT has been accompanying many leading enterprises in their digital transformation journeys across industries such as energy, finance-banking, and telecommunications. To date, FPT has over 200 technology experts working in two major offices in Indonesia and is expected to open its third office this year.
