Groundbreaking for Hope School

On September 16, 2023, the leaders of the Da Nang City People's Committee and FPT Corporation commenced the construction of the FPT Boarding School (Hope School), which is on a plot of land over 6,500 square meters on Tran Quoc Vuong Street, FPT Technology Urban Area, Hoa Hai Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District.

The project consists of two 5-story buildings and a staircase tower. One building is for classrooms, and the other serves as a boarding area (with an underground parking floor). The school is designed to accommodate various functions such as classrooms, subject rooms, libraries, multipurpose rooms, and accommodations for experts. FPT Corporation is investing 200 billion VND in this project, with completion expected by 2024. The location of Hope School is adjacent to the FPT Complex building, resembling a bronze drum (on Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street). It enjoys a cool climate, approximately 300 meters from the Co Co River and 2 km from the sea. It is also 11 km from the city center of Da Nang and about 16 km from the ancient town of Hoi An (Quang Nam).

Mrs. Truong Thi Thanh Thanh - CSR Director of FPT and Chairperson of the Hope Foundation - expressed that the groundbreaking of Hope School reflects FPT's commitment to nurturing and educating orphaned children who lost their parents due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "Along with our shared success over 35 years, FPT always wants to accompany the societal development, with the aspiration of spreading love and kindness to children who have to suffer from the lack of love and affection," she said. FPT's CSR Director also showed her appreciation to the local leaders and philanthropists who have supported and provided all the necessary conditions to materialize the initiative of Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT, bringing 1,000 orphaned children to the coastal city and giving them a new home.

Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, was genuinely moved by the groundbreaking of Hope School. "I believe that, with FPT's extensive experience in comprehensive education and management, the school will provide the children with a safe environment, full amenities, giving them wings to grow up and live a joyful life," he said. He also requested the city's departments to facilitate the construction to put the school into operation soon.

On September 16, 2021, Mr. Truong Gia Binh announced the establishment of Hope School to create the best environment for children who unfortunately lost their parents due to COVID-19. The school has now welcomed over 300 children from 41 provinces and cities. From grades 1 to 12, these children are fully sponsored for their tuition and living expenses. This school is unique as it has no curriculum or teaching method. Instead, all children are allocated to FPT schools from grade 1 to 12 and higher levels in the FPT City Da Nang. Hope School's mission is to organize boarding, provide nurturing, and raise children, allowing them to get familiar with friends and earn better learning motivation.
