FPT Engineers Become First Vietnamese to Earn CTA Certification

09/05/2026

Mr. Phan Le Chi Cuong, an employee of FPT Software under FPT Corporation, has become the first Vietnamese professional to achieve the ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification, marking a significant milestone in FPT’s journey to strengthen its core technology capabilities.

Within the ServiceNow ecosystem, the Certified Technical Architect (CTA) is regarded as one of the highest-level technical architecture certifications, designed for experts capable of delivering enterprise-scale solution architecture. The certification requires candidates not only to possess in-depth knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, but also to demonstrate expertise in business alignment, data architecture, integration strategy, governance, and architectural decision-making in complex environments.

According to Mr. Phung Viet Ha, Head of the Low-code and ServiceNow Program at FPT Software, ServiceNow’s recognition of the first CTA-certified individual at FPT represents a particularly meaningful milestone. The achievement not only reflects Mr. Phan Le Chi Cuong’s persistent efforts, but also marks another important advancement in FPT Software’s ServiceNow capabilities. As the company continues to accelerate its low-code and platform capabilities, particularly through its ServiceNow Program, this milestone demonstrates FPT Software’s gradual transition from implementation capabilities toward higher-value architecture consulting and large-scale transformation leadership.

For Mr. Phan Le Chi Cuong, the journey to achieving CTA certification was not something that could be completed in a short period of time. It was the result of a long-term accumulation of hands-on implementation experience and the process of aligning his thinking with ServiceNow’s architectural framework. During his preparation, he focused on mastering core competencies including business alignment, data architecture, integration strategy, and governance, while continuously practicing real-world simulation scenarios that mirrored the rigorous CTA assessment environment.

“The key factor is not simply ‘knowing more,’ but being able to make the right architectural decisions — balancing scalability, maintainability, and business value under time pressure,” Mr. Cuong shared.

For him personally, the CTA certification marks a transition from being a technology specialist to becoming an architect capable of leading enterprise-scale solutions. For FPT Software, Vietnam’s first CTA certification serves as clear evidence of the company’s ability to master ServiceNow at a more advanced level. It also provides a strong foundation for the company to expand its participation in large-scale contracts and complex digital transformation programs, where clients require not only strong implementation teams, but also enterprise-grade architecture, governance, and platform consulting expertise.

Reflecting on his experience, Mr. Cuong emphasized that CTA should not be viewed merely as an examination, but rather as a process of transforming one’s mindset — from implementation to architecture, from problem-solving to system design, and from a purely technical focus to business-oriented thinking. “CTA is not a destination, but a milestone in the journey toward becoming a solution architect,” he said.

Mr. Phan Le Chi Cuong’s achievement therefore represents not only an outstanding personal accomplishment, but also a signal that FPT’s ServiceNow and low-code community is entering a deeper stage of professional capability development. Following this first CTA certification, FPT Software is expected to further elevate its talent standards, expand its architecture consulting capabilities, and strengthen its position within the global ServiceNow ecosystem.

In March, FPT was officially elevated to Premier Partner status by ServiceNow, the world’s leading AI-powered workflow management platform. The recognition reflects FPT’s strong technological capabilities and success in deploying large-scale enterprise automation solutions across demanding markets such as the United States, Japan, and Germany.
