Leaders of Dong Thap Province Met with FPT on Digital Transformation Cooperation

Afternoon on September 20, Mr. Pham Thien Nghia, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee of Dong Thap, along with leaders of relevant departments and sectors, had a working session with leaders from FPT Corporation to get updated on digital transformation collaboration.

Representatives from FPT Corporation stated that, in line with the digital transformation cooperation plan with Dong Thap Province, FPT has collaborated with the Department of Information and Communications and other units to upgrade the e-Dong Thap app. It includes designing a new interface, adding functionalities, integrating services, and deploying the app on the provincial infrastructure.

FPT has also conducted a trial implementation of the Open Data Portal, establishing 16 data sets in five fields: information and communications, tourism, agriculture, culture, and science & technology. FPT has provided consulting services for constructing the province's digital data lake. Shortly, the Corporation hopes to accompany Dong Thap Province in accelerating the implementation of Project 06 models.

In the field of education, FPT proposed the implementation plan for the FPT UniSchool Educational Complex project, with an estimated area of about 10 hectares in Cao Lanh City. FPT Corporation suggested the provincial leaders for preferential policies and support for expediting related procedures.

Mr. Pham Thien Nghia emphasized that digital transformation and improving the workforce quality are the province's top priorities. Therefore, Dong Thap will best facilitate FPT's local investment. At the same time, he suggested that the Corporation cooperate with departments and agencies to complete the procedures for the FPT UniSchool Educational Complex project. He also agreed with FPT's proposal to accompany the province in implementing Project 06 models.
