MCIA delegation visits FPT

A delegation of Myanmar Computer Industry Association (Mandalay MCIA) made a visit to FPT Tan Thuan on February 9

A delegation of Myanmar Computer Industry Association (Mandalay MCIA) made a visit to FPT Tan Thuan on February 9. The delegation had 25 members, including owners of IT enterprises in Mandalay, the second-largest city of Myanmar.

At the meeting, President of Mandalay MCIA Thiri Khit hoped that they could play role as a bridge between FPT and local businesses in the industry.

Local businesses with the advantages both in terms of human resources, costs and local knowledge will be valuable resources when FPT implemented major projects here.

 

 

President of Mandalay MCIA Thiri Khit said that they were willing to play role as a bridge between FPT and local businesses in the industry.

FPT Myanmar is now a member of MCIA. COO of FPT Myanmar Pham Le Hoa thought that local businesses with the advantages in terms of human resources, costs and local knowledge would be valuable resources when FPT implemented major projects here.

Also at the meeting, the representative of FPT presented a company overview and introduced some outstanding projects employed by the companies such as CyRadar, FPT Play Box and ANTS.

Deputy General Director of FPT Corporation cum Chairman of FPT Myanmar Duong Dung Trieu also shared about the tax projects which helped unload the whole system and made it easy for people and enterprises to declare tax.  

"The VAT policy in Myanmar has not yet been completed. We want to learn from experience of FPT, which have implemented many tax projects in many countries to submit proposals to the Government and give more support to our member businesses,” said the President of MCIA.

Mr. Ye Yint Aung, General Director of Innovative Solutions Marter, a member MCIA, said the application of technology to life in Myanmar is still limited, even now very few people have access to TV cable or online shopping experience.

The delegation also made a visit to Data Center EPZ of FPT Telecom. The Data Centre EPZ is built on an area of more than 3,000 m2 in Tan Thuan EPZ, which can house a total of 800 rack cabinets and is considered the largest data centre in the south. Ms. My Mi Kyaw, a member of the delegation said: "I've never seen such a data center, especially very modern uninterruptible power supply (UPS)".
