Microsoft senior leader visits FPT Trading headquarters

Mr. Arto Nummela, Vice President of Microsoft Devices and his colleagues visited and worked with FPT Trading leaders. The meeting took place at Zodiac building, Duy Tan, Hanoi to discuss some plans and the future orientation of cooperation between both parties.

At the meeting, the Microsoft representative informed some of personnel changes. Specifically, Mr. Dang Hong Phong would replace Mr. Vinod Muralidharan, Chief Representative of Microsoft Mobile in Vietnam, to take over the Vietnamese market. However, this change "does not have influence on the business activity in Vietnam".

In the next time, Microsoft will structure and reallocate its operation area into 13 different geographical regions. The Vietnamese market is in Asia Pacific (APAC).

For the hardware segment, in the future, Microsoft will launch more high-end mobile devices, tablets and computers etc.

In addition to traditional devices and products, Microsoft will introduce several new products and solutions for both enterprises and customers. "Microsoft can integrate all operating systems into one device. Not every technology company can handle this," the Microsoft representative said.

In the framework of the program, Mr. Tran Quoc Binh, Deputy General Director of FPT Trading, introduced FPT’s history, development process, business sectors and unique culture to the delegation of Microsoft.

FPT and Microsoft have cooperated for more than 10 years. In 2005, FPT became the first Microsoft Gold Certified Partner in Vietnam. Mr. Arto highly appreciated the relationship between Microsoft and FPT and hoped that the two sides would partner not only in the field of cell phones and computers but also many others.

After the meeting with FPT Trading leaders, he also met and exchanged views with FPT leaders to discuss the cooperation in the future.

Earlier, many senior leaders of Microsoft also made visits to and worked directly with leaders of FPT and FPT Trading.
