More than 800 candidates join the third FPT University entrance exam

In the morning of September 6, students entered the 3rd FPT University entrance exam in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. According to Mr. Vu Chi Thanh, Head of Admissions and Student Affairs - FPT University, there were 825 candidates for this admission and results will be announced in the afternoon of September 7.

 

 

In Hanoi, at 6 am, 9 45-seat buses respectively carried candidates and their parents from Detech building to FPT University at Hoa Lac high-tech Park. The entrance examination was held at the headquarters for the first time.

 

 

Volunteers actively supported more than 400 contestants to fullfill their procedures.

Nguyen Duc Trung (in yellow) got interested in the educational model of FPT University, as well as Software Engineering training program. He hoped to win a scholarship of FPT University to pursue his hobby.

 

 

 A reception room at Beta building was arranged for parents. Here, staff and volunteers were always willing to reply all off their questions about environment, training, career opportunities, opportunities for oversea internship etc.

 

 

In Da Nang, all candidates took the exam at No. 137 Nguyen Thi Thap, Hoa Minh Ward, Lien Chieu District. The majority of them came from high schools in central highlands. The examination deployment and accommodations for parents was prepared in the previous days.

 

 

Competitors quickly completed their procedures before entering the examination rooms. Two students of Le Quy Don high school Le Ai Thien An and Bui Anh Tuan put the target of achieving high scores to hunt a scholarship.

 

 

In HCMC, more than 350 candidates took the exam at FPT University, Innovation building.

 

 

2 supervisors were arranged for one exam room. The rooms equipped with air conditioners made the candidates feel comfortable for the exam.

 

 

Supervisors guided candidates on filling the information, repeating exam regulations.

 

 

Candidates who meet the direct entry regulations by the Ministry of Education and Training or graduate from high school and getting 21 points or more for three registered subjects at the national exam will be enrolled directly. 

 

 

At 8:30, supervisors delivered Math Logic exam. Contestants had 120 minutes to complete the performance. After a 5–minute break time, they had to finish the essay within 60 minutes.

 

 

The Head of Admissions and Student Affairs - FPT University said that according to regulations, admission for aspiration 2 will be over on September 10. Right after the exam on September 6 ends, FPT University will focus on marking exam papers. To complete the plan, examiners would have to work through the night.

 

 

This admission’s exams continued to mention the hot issues of Education.

 

 

At 11h45, candidates completed the essay exam, submitting their performances and in turn leaving examination rooms. With a quite good exam, Mai Duc Anh (District 5, HCMC) hoped that he would be admitted to FPT University.

 

Kha Phap Khue (left) was also impressed with the essay exam. He thought that he was well- prepared enough for exam.

 

 

Earlier, at two admissions held on May 10 and July 19, FPT University has more than 6,000 registered candidates nationwide. In 2015, FPT University must admit 1,600 students for 4 specialties: Technology, Economics, Language and Arts. After the admission, there have been 926 successful candidates and more than 600 vacancies for the 4 admission 2.
