Mr. Duong Dung Trieu appointed as Chairman of FPT Myanmar

FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh just approved the appointment of Deputy General Director of FPT Duong Trieu Dung to the position of Chairman of FPT Myanmar, replacing Mr. Hoang Minh Chau just appointed as culture adviser to Mr. Binh.

The Vice General Deputy in charge of global activities will concurrently have Chairman of FPT Myanmar to gain the goal of Myanmar 100. 

Mr. Duong Dung Trieu, who was born in 1973, joined FPT after graduated from Hanoi University of Technology in 1995. He was been in charge of FSS Director from 2003-2006. Mr. Trieu became Vice General Director of FPT IS From 2007 to 2010 and CEO of FPTIS from 2010 to 2014.

He became Deputy General Director of FPT from April2014 following the “FPT’s senior leadership rotation” program released in March 2014. Accordingly, FPT senior management will be rotated among the group’s business lines to gain various experience and to improve their leadership and management capabilities.

Myanmar is one of FPT’s key global market with the goal of Myanmar 100. In February 2013, FPT’s BOD approved to open a representative office in Myanmar. In July 2013, FPT Myanmar was founded.

FPT Myanmar represents FPT Corporation to establish relations with the government, ministries and ICT associations and potential customers here. This market has been reached by FPT IS, FPT Trading, FPT University, FPT Software and FPT Telecom.

FPT expects to have the opportunity to experience one more spectacular growth in this country like in Vietnam 2003-2007.

Currently, FPT is making solid strides in Myanmar with many projects of FPT Trading, FPT IS, FPT Software and FPT University. In particular, FPT Trading made the most contribution to the achievement of FPT Myanmar in 2014.
