Hanoi, May 27, 2025 – Within the framework of the DX Summit 2025 Forum, organized by the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association (VINASA), Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, Chairman of VINASA, CEO of FPT Corporation, made a number of proposals for Vietnam to reach out to the world, seize the golden opportunity in the 1,000 billion USD market, and become the world's high-tech center. Additionally, during this event, Mr. Vu Anh Tu, the Chief Technology Officer of FPT Corporation, discussed his thoughts on AI Autonomy and the necessity to update the present training model because AI is altering the way knowledge is produced.
DX Summit 2025 got under way today with the participation of domestic and international delegates, technology experts, representatives of big corporations, financial institutions, research institutes and the startup community. The event will take place over 2 days, May 27-28, 2025, with the theme "Mastering Technology - Breakthrough, Growing", this year's forum affirms the central role of technology in the socio-economic development strategy of Vietnam and the region.
Digital transformation, Science and technology are strategic choices of Vietnam
In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, Chairman of VINASA and CEO of FPT Corporation, emphasized: “Never before have science and technology and digital transformation been placed in such a central position as they are today in the national development strategy.” He called Resolution 57 of the Politburo a “midwife” for science and technology and innovation enterprises, opening a new era of development where technology is the key driving force.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, Chairman of VINASA and CEO of FPT Corporation, Vietnam possesses favorable conditions to become a center for providing high-quality technology human resources to the world, thanks to a young and enthusiastic workforce, a sharp increase in the number of IT students and businesses gradually asserting their capacity in the international market. However, he also pointed out the challenge: Vietnam needs at least 2.5 million IT workers in the next few years – double the current number.
“Today’s forum is not only a place to share, but also a place to create policy changes, unlock resources for Vietnamese enterprises to master technology, and create AI products for Vietnamese people with high quality and low cost,” stressed Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, Chairman of VINASA, CEO of FPT Corporation.

To turn opportunities into reality, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, Chairman of VINASA, CEO of FPT Corporation, proposed that the Government should continue to improve the legal framework. Increase investment in digital infrastructure and human resource training. In addition, there needs to be joint action from the digital technology business community, and more bold investment in R&D, focusing on core technologies and product quality. Strengthen cooperation and association to create a combined strength and together conquer larger markets.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT Corporation and Chairman of VINASA, socially, it is essential to embrace new business models, promote innovation, and create a digital culture. Vietnam is in charge of its own technological future.

Vietnam's technology vision in the AI Era – perspective from FPT

Mr. Vu Anh Tu - Chief Technology Officer of FPT Corporation said that Vietnam is entering a breakthrough phase, with more than 54,500 digital technology enterprises and total industry revenue reaching more than 151 billion USD in 2024. "Instead of arguing over whether or not to become digital, we are now discussing how quickly to do so in order to avoid falling behind," Mr. Vu Anh Tu - Chief Technology Officer of FPT Corporation emphasized.
FPT has identified artificial intelligence as a growth pillar in the next decade. With the strategy of “standing on the shoulders of giants”, FPT develops AI products that are suitable for Vietnamese culture and data. At the same time, the group also invests heavily in AI infrastructure in Vietnam and Japan, shortening R&D time from 45 days to 1 day.
A highlight of FPT's technology strategy is to promote scientific research and training of the younger generation, especially AI training. According to Mr. Vu Anh Tu, FPT promotes training and development of AI human resources through many activities from primary to university and enterprises. From 2023, AI was taught at primary and secondary levels, along with national and international AI programming competitions. FPT cooperates with prestigious universities such as Stanford, UPenn, Mila, and organizations such as Nvidia to provide in-depth training and AI certification.
The flipped classroom model is being tested and will be widely deployed from the 2025-2026 school year. More than 12,000 university students have been trained in AI, while FPT employees are required to study at least 42 hours a year, including at least 1 AI course to improve work quality. FPT and major universities have formed an alliance to implement Resolution 57, aiming to build a force of students with the necessary knowledge and skills in public administration, public management... to help them have enough capacity to participate in the team implementing Resolution 57/NQ-TW.
Affirming the role of AI in education, Mr. Vu Anh Tu - FPT Corporation's Chief Technology Officer concluded: "We hope that with the above efforts, every student, every employee, and every Vietnamese citizen can use AI effectively and safely."
