Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa will become FPT CEO

On March 8^th 2019, FPT Board of Directors agreed on appointing Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa – Executive Vice President of FPT Corporation cum CEO of FPT Information System – to become the new CEO of FPT Corporation, succeeding Mr. Ngoc Bui Quang after his term, effective on 29/3/2019.

During the last 2 CEO (2013 – 2018) terms, Mr. Bui Quang Ngoc always maintained FPT’s 2 digit growth. Not only that, technology innovation was pushed forward incredibly; critical infrastructure was enforced and invested throughout the nation; talents were well-developed and mentored in various ways. He also spent a lot of time developing a network of young leaders to enhance management capabilities through gaining experience in various industries and departments within the Corporation. He will continue in the role of Vice Chairman of FPT Board of Directors, working on critical projects of the Corporation.

Nguyen Van Khoa is a young leader who has been with FPT for 22 years and has proven himself capable of assuming all the necessary responsibilities through his devoted time. He has excelled in various leadership roles that require a tremendous understanding of business operation, technology in both B2B and B2C customers in order to be effective.

In 2012, at the age of 35, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa was the youngest CEO of FPT subsidiaries when he was appointed as General Director of FPT Telecom. Focusing on building core management staff, besides applying new policies and decisions, he led FPT Telecom to maintain within the Top 3 of Leading Internet Service companies in Vietnam whilst working continuously with new products, services, and management methods. He performed important achievements of various kinds within the core business areas in FPT Telecom, such as success in deploying the 1,800 km North-South axis, converting all infrastructures from copper cable to fiber optic cable in only 1 year - 2 times faster than the expected progress estimation. He plays a strong role in terms of setting the foundation for the strong development of modern FPT Television when deciding to choose IPTV (Internet TV) for business instead of Cable TV. Under his leadership, from 2012 to 2017, FPT Telecom's revenue increased by 2.6 times, the company’s profit increased by 1.6 times; the volume of human resources has nearly doubled and has the highest contribution rate within corporation’s profits (2012-2016). Currently, FPT Telecom owns telecommunications, Internet and Television covering 63/63 provinces and cities.

In March 2018, he was rotated as Executive Vice President of FPT, General Director of FPT Information System Company (FPT IS) in the planning and training program of the next generation FPT Corporation’s leaders. After only one year, he has established the trust and encouragement of the Board of management besides FPT IS's staff. Furthermore, he inspired the spirit of innovation for employees at all levels.

At the same time, Mr. Do Cao Bao has ended his term as Vice CEO of FPT Corporation, effective from 15th March 2019. He will continue assume the role of member of the Board of Directors, chairman of the Personnel & Remuneration Committee – a part of the Board of Directors.
