Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of VINASA re-elected as Vice Chairman of ASOCIO

Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation cum Chairman of the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) was re-elected as the vice chairman of the Asian-Oceania Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) at ASOCIO ICT Summit 2016 held in Yangon, Myanmar.

Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation cum Chairman of the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) was re-elected as the vice chairman of the Asian-Oceania Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) at ASOCIO ICT Summit 2016 held in Yangon, Myanmar.

David Wong from the National ICT Association of Malaysia (PIKOM) became the new president of ASOCIO. Besides Mr. Binh, there were 6 other vice presidents from Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Nepal, Taiwan, Sri Lanka. These will officially be in charge of these positions from January 01, 2017 to December 31, 2018.

This event not only confirms the prestige of Vietnam's IT industry but also offers Vietnam an opportunity to get involved further in the development of IT industry in the world and have access to important information about IT development trends and applications as well as cooperation opportunities for Vietnam.

The Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) - a grouping of ICT industry associations representing the Asian-Oceania region was established in 1984 in Tokyo, Japan. ASOCIO represents the interests of 23 economies and 5 guest members. Mr. Truong Gia Binh has been continuously elected as Vice President of ASOCIO since 2008.
