Mr. Truong Gia Binh elected as VINASA Chairman to four consecutive terms
On April 24, Prof. Dr. Truong Gia Binh, FPT Chairman, was re-elected VINASA Chairman for the term of 2016-2020 with 100% of the votes at the fourth Congress of Vietnam Software and IT Services Association.

On April 24, Prof. Dr. Truong Gia Binh, FPT Chairman, was re-elected VINASA Chairman for the term of 2016-2020 with 100% of the votes at the fourth Congress of Vietnam Software and IT Services Association.
Speaking at the summit, Chairman of VINASA Truong Gia Binh said that the members discussed and contributed many ideas to promote start-ups, including the initiative to organize an annual forum to help build a favorable environment for start-ups.
"There will have a lot of drastic changes in the organizational structure in order to bring benefits to member businesses as well as breakthrough programs to connect, support and encourage development trends of the industry”, said Mr. Truong Gia Binh. VINASA aimed to become a pioneer in connecting industries and regions, and applying and developing technologies and start-ups. The association would try to support small- and medium-sized firms in their development, while big firms can become global ones, thus contributing to the country’s development.
Vietnam Software and IT Services Association was established in April, 2002 with 55 initial members. Mr. Truong Gia Binh was elected as VINASA Chairman and then re-elected to consecutive terms. Now it has attracted 323 member enterprises, aiming at 500 ones in the near future.
From 2016 to 2020, VINASA will focus 5 key programs including Building brand and developing domestic market; Developing international market; Developing human resources and improve capacities of enterprises; Member mission. In particular, VINASA will attach special importance to development policies for breakthrough development.
While praising the achievements and contributions made by the Vietnam Software Association (VINASA) to the development of the IT industry, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam also called on the association to continue its good work in providing consultancy to the Government.
Deputy Prime Minister awarded VINASA the second - class Labor Medal, a prestigious award of the Party, the State for VINASA’s important contribution to the development of Vietnam software and IT services sector, contributing to the cause of building and defending the country.
