Mr. Truong Gia Binh Holds the Position of Vice President of the National Cybersecurity Association

On the afternoon of September 8, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security, the National Cybersecurity Association held its first Congress (for the 2023-2028 tenure) with the participation of nearly 200 members from various agencies, organizations, businesses, reputable experts, and scholars in the field of cybersecurity.

The Congress approved the agenda, the operational directions, the Association's Charter, and the Association's personnel organization plan for the first term (2023-2028). The Congress also elected the Executive Board, Inspection Committee, Standing Committee, and several leadership positions. It also approved the Resolution of the first Congress with the highest engagement rates.

The Congress also elected a list of personnel for the Standing Committee of the National Cybersecurity Association. In detail, the Association's Chairman is Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang - Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security. The Standing Vice Chairman is Lieutenant General Nguyen Minh Chinh - Member of the Public Security Central Party Committee, Director of the Department of Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention (Ministry of Public Security).

Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT, was chosen as one of the five Vice Presidents of the Association.

Speaking at the event, Professor - Dr. To Lam, Member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security, and Standing Deputy Head of the National Cyber Security Steering Committee, expressed his confidence that the Association will join forces and be determined to successfully implement the Resolution set out by the First National Congress for the 2023-2028 term. Furthermore, the Association will also make practical contributions to the country's rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, safeguarding national security and sovereignty in cyberspace while serving the civilized and comfortable life of the people.

The National Cybersecurity Association is expected to be the platform to gather, arouse, and spread the hidden power of reputable agencies, organizations, businesses, experts, and scholars to build the most effective network security ecosystem connecting public and private sectors, converging technology policies and cybersecurity workforce. Operating under the motto "Convergence - Solidarity - Innovation - Spread," the Association aims to enhance national cybersecurity capabilities, effectively address non-traditional challenges, and build a secure and safe cyberspace. Moreover, it contributes to the sustainable development of the country and helps enhance our nation's reputation.
