FPT and Embassy of Vietnam in Korea held a webinar on "New normal economy: Seizing opportunities for recovery" to discuss issues, share information, and examples of post Covid-19 digital transformation on August 26th.
The seminar was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Korea Nguyen Vu Tung, Director General of the Foreign Investment Agency Do Nhat Hoang, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh, Director of Public Services of Deloitte Consulting and Vice President of SK C&C and more than 110 senior leaders of major Korean companies.

The global economy is facing an unprecedented shock when the respiratory disease has spread rapidly across six continents. It is urgent to find solutions to respond to and deal with the unprecedented economic shock.
In the post-Covid-19 era, the demand for high technology is increasing rapidly. In most of the post-pandemic economic growth strategies the countries come up with, developing digital economy and digital transformation is seen as the key to development. Therefore, FPT hopes that this online seminar can help Korean businesses struggling to solve the post-Covid-19 problems with more useful information about digital transformation solutions, investment methods in Vietnam, thereby, strengthening and expanding the cooperation between the enterprises of two countries.
Director General of the Foreign Investment Agency Do Nhat Hoang shared many useful information on the orientation towards foreign investment cooperation in Vietnam with Korean businesses. Accordingly, Vietnam has all the factors to promote its image and attract FDI.
Regarding the possibility of business recovery after Covid-19, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh said that the companies must take measures to protect trade. In particular, digital transformation is the key that can turn problems into opportunities for businesses worldwide, especially in Korea leading the Asian Digital Transformation Index. Mr. Binh also shared about FPT's digital transformation solutions to help customers recover and make breakthroughs in new normal.
The representatives from some Korean businesses attended the event.
Mr. Kim Jeong Yeol from Deloitte Consulting talked about the technology trends in the world and Korea, the directions of cooperation at different levels to overcome the crisis and the examples of Digital Transformation suitable for the post-Covid-19 period. The Vice President of SK C&C also shared their digital transformation problem and wanted to cooperate with FPT.
More than 80% of the attendees gave a satisfied rating and many of them hoped to meet with FPT to learn more about digital transformation.
