Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation and Member of the Management Board of the Hope Foundation, signed the agreement with Mr. Olivier Brochet, Ambassador Extraordinaire and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Vietnam.

According to the signed agreement, the Hope Foundation has been entrusted to partially fund the cost of 10,000 USD for the project titled "Historical Tour of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign." This project is one of the two major initiatives being implemented on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu campaign by the French Embassy in Vietnam. The project receives financial support from the French Development Agency (AFD) and other organizations, such as the French Ministry of Defense, the Association Celebrating France, and the Servier Pharmaceutical Group. Its objective is to simulate and introduce monuments and locations related to the evolution of this historic battle while also contributing to renewing the relationship between France and Vietnam.

Within the framework of the project, the French Embassy in Vietnam, the French Development Agency (AFD), and the People's Committee of Dien Bien province will collaborate to establish a historical route featuring 16 plaques in three languages (French, English, Vietnamese). These plaques will be strategically located near historical relics, including locations, monuments, and equipment, marking critical sites in the center of Dien Bien Phu city. Through this initiative, tours will be designed to enhance visitors' understanding of the history of the Dien Bien Phu campaign on the ground. The implementation of this project has also received support from a French archaeologist and has been approved by authorities in Vietnam.

The initial components of the project will be unveiled on May 5. This project aims to contribute to the mission of reflecting on the past, envisioning the future, and aiding young individuals in connecting with their roots to gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese history. Additionally, the project is anticipated to serve as a prominent attraction for tourists visiting Dien Bien Phu city in the near future.

This event also marks the commencement of a series of accompanying activities organized by FPT Corporation and the Hope Foundation in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory. From April 26 to 28, the Hope Foundation and FPT employees will embark on the "Following in Dien Bien's Footsteps" journey. During this time, the volunteer group will partake in the inauguration and handover event of new projects aimed at benefiting Dien Bien students, teachers, and residents as an expression of gratitude to the heroic land.

The Hope Foundation was established in 2017 as a non-profit social fund dedicated to serving the community. It is jointly operated by VnExpress and FPT Corporation.
