Saigon Trading Group – One Member Limited Liability Company (SATRA) and FPT Corporation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a comprehensive cooperation framework to optimize resources, enhance operational efficiency, and accelerate the application of technology in the trade and services sector. The cooperation contributes to the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation.
The event marks an important step for both enterprises in strengthening linkages, leveraging complementary strengths, and working toward stable and sustainable development as the economy undergoes rapid digital transformation.

The cooperation between SATRA and FPT Corporation is expected not only to benefit the two enterprises but also to contribute to the shared development goals of Ho Chi Minh City.
Under the agreement, SATRA and FPT will jointly implement activities related to investment, development, trading of goods and services, and the application of technological solutions in their respective areas of strength. The focus of the cooperation is to enhance governance and operational capacity, optimize supply chains, expand distribution channels, and gradually develop new business models based on digital technology platforms, aligned with the long-term development strategies of both SATRA and FPT.
The partnership takes place as SATRA continues to serve as Ho Chi Minh City’s core trade and services enterprise. With large-scale operations and a diversified ecosystem, SATRA spans the entire value chain from food production and processing, logistics, wholesale markets, and wholesale–retail systems to the Satrafoods convenience store chain. Over many years, SATRA has played a central role in stabilizing the market, ensuring the supply of essential goods, and supporting the city’s economic and social stability.
Beyond its economic role, SATRA is closely linked to the city’s mission of serving the community and implementing trade development policies. In response to rising demands for governance efficiency, transparency, safety, and customer experience, SATRA identifies digital transformation as a necessary path to enhance competitiveness, modernize operations, and ensure long-term sustainable development.
FPT Corporation, as Viet Nam’s leading technology group with a diverse digital ecosystem, will accompany SATRA in driving digital transformation across multiple domains.

The signing ceremony is attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Member of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Standing Member of the Party Committee of the City People’s Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee (sixth from the left).
Specifically, SATRA and FPT will jointly research, propose, and pilot AI-based solutions from the Made by FPT ecosystem to enhance governance, operations, and security. Camera AI–based security monitoring solutions will support surveillance and early warning across SATRA’s logistics facilities, wholesale markets, and retail points. AI applications in operations — including access control, attendance, customer recognition, and compliance monitoring — will be studied and deployed in compliance with legal regulations and personal data protection requirements.
In parallel, the two parties will cooperate in developing pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, including consulting, R&D, piloting, and technology transfer. FPT will accompany SATRA in implementing digital initiatives aligned with the digital transformation roadmap through 2030, toward building a modern, data- and technology-driven governance model.
FPT will also consider sourcing products supplied by SATRA for the Sendo.vn e-commerce platform as a key pillar of ecosystem development. This connection between SATRA’s large-scale and stable supply capability and FPT’s digital commerce platform is expected to expand distribution channels, improve consumer access, and enhance supply chain efficiency.
The cooperation also opens opportunities to expand the Satrafoods convenience store chain within certain FPT member units, thereby broadening SATRA’s distribution network and brand presence within the corporate and technology ecosystem.

Mr. Lam Quoc Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and CEO of SATRA, shares expectations for the cooperation between SATRA and FPT.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Lam Quoc Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and CEO of SATRA, stated:
“The cooperation between SATRA and FPT will not only bring benefits to the two enterprises but also contribute to the city’s broader goals of building a digital economy, improving service quality, and better serving the people and the community.”

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT Corporation, shares that both sides will jointly implement digital transformation initiatives to promote sustainable development in the trade and services sector.
Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT Corporation, added:
“SATRA is Ho Chi Minh City’s core trade and services enterprise, with large scale and a special role in stabilizing the market and serving people’s daily needs. FPT believes that by combining FPT’s technological capabilities with SATRA’s extensive commercial ecosystem, both sides will effectively implement practical digital transformation initiatives that enhance governance efficiency, optimize operations, and promote sustainable development in the trade and services sector, in line with Resolution 57-NQ/TW.”
The cooperation agreement between SATRA and FPT Corporation is expected to serve as a foundation for concrete collaborative programs in the coming period, strengthening linkages between Ho Chi Minh City’s leading trade enterprise and Viet Nam’s leading technology group, and contributing positively to the city’s socio-economic development in the new era.
