Sendo Chairman Nguyen Dac Viet Dung was elected to Executive Committee of Vietnam E-Commerce Association for a 3-year term from 2016 to 2020.
On April 15, the Executive Committee of Vietnam E-Commerce Association (VECOM) held the 3rd National Congress in Hanoi. The congress was attended by Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Minh Hong as well as many members and guests.
Addressing the event, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Minh Hong highly appreciated the role of VECOM in many activities related to e-commerce consulting and dissemination. At the same time, VECOM implemented several key programs to make connections among enterprises.
The Ministry of Information Technology and Communications issued number of policies related to this field such as promoting the development of Internet infrastructure and broadband network to build a platform for e-commerce.
Also at the event, a new Executive Board for the term of 2016–2020 was elected. Nguyen Thanh Hung (Deputy President and General Secretary) was elected President of VECOM. Two new deputy presidents included Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dung (Deputy Secretary General and Head of the representative office in HCMC) and Mr. Le Hai Binh (Chairman of Mat Bao Company). Mr. Nguyen Minh Ky was in charge of General Secretary (EcomViet).
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, those who were elected to the Executive Committee had to meet lots of criteria including their capacity and reputation in the industry; good health and resources; enthusiasm and dedication.
"Sendo is highly respected in the industry. In particular, Sendo Chairman met all of the above three criteria above,” said Mr. Hung.
