Sendo to apply Big Data technology on Online Friday

Big Data technology helps eliminate fake goods, counterfeit goods and virtual promotion on Online Friday.

According t Sendo Chairman Nguyen Dac Viet Dzung, the company has performed big data analysis on over 5 million products of 80,000 shops to eliminate counterfeit products and check the final sale price.

Besides, Sendo has based on the history of price adjustments and successful orders to know whether discounts are real.

"Joining Online Friday for the third time, Sendo tries to apply new technologies to offer consumers more chances to buy high-quality goods at reasonable prices," said Mr. Dzung.

Big Data is the new technology helping enterprises process their growing data volumes. They can analyze and compare past and present data, then making more accurate decisions and predicting future trends.

Big Data has not yet been widely applied in Vietnam’s e-commerce. Taking the advantages of FPT’s IT infrastructure, Sendo becomes a pioneer in applying this technology.

Online Friday 2016 is jointly held by Vietnam E-Commerce and Information Technology Agency, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam E-Commerce Association and VnExpress.

It is thought that BigOff held on walking streets around Hoan Kiem Lake from December 1 to 4 will draw much attention. This is an opportunity for people to experience technologies and enjoy discounts.
