Thousands of FPT hearts’ towards Quang Ninh
In order to help solve problems after the flood as well as bring joy to the students on the occasion of opening the New School Year, “FPT Staff for Community" Fund will organize a trip to give away school supplies, uniforms and gifts for students whose families have been affected by the flood at Tha Cat primary school and Mong Duong secondary school on August 17-18.

In order to help solve problems after the flood as well as bring joy to the students on the occasion of opening the New School Year, “FPT Staff for Community" Fund will organize a trip to give away school supplies, uniforms and gifts for students whose families have been affected by the flood at Tha Cat primary school and Mong Duong secondary school on August 17-18.
Both Tha Cat primary school and Mong Duong secondary school are located in the most heavily affected region of Quang Ninh. Tha Cat primary school is situated in the village of Khe Sim, Duong Huy commune (Cam Pha, Quang Ninh), one of the localities was completely submerged with 2m water depth. Mud and sediment overflowing into houses made residents to leave urgently.
In Mong Duong ward, 200 households fled in the night to escape from the flash flood. Having the horrific flood on the brain, many people do not dare to return home because of the risk of dam failure. The historic flooding affects not only residents’ lives are but also students’ learning while the new school year begins soon.

In order to support children and their families, FPT will give a bookcase, two computers to Tha Cat primary school and scholarships and gifts to 62 students whose family homes were damaged and poor students overcoming difficulties. Mong Duong Secondary School will receive a computer room (20 sets); scholarships and gifts to 80 pupils whose family homes were damaged and poor pupils overcoming difficulties. The total number of presents is worth of nearly VND 300 million, contributed by FPT employees through the find named “FPT Staff for Community".
"We hope these small but practical gifts will help the people of Quang Ninh and students soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives," said the representative of CSR team Mr. Ngo Anh Tuan.
The historical flood in Quang Ninh has left 17 people dead, 339 houses severely damaged. Some 4,000 hectares of rice and other crops, 1,200 hectares of aquaculture have been ruined and more than 2,000 cattle and poultry have been swept away. The damage of Quang Ninh province has been estimated at VND 2,700 billion.
