During the working visit to participate in the series of activities commemorating the 370th anniversary of Khanh Hoa province (1653 - 2023), the Central Delegation visited and presented gifts on behalf of the Party and Country leaders to children who lost their loved ones due to COVID-19 in Khanh Hoa province and children in SOS Children's Village Nha Trang. Under the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in recent years, the Government has always shown special concern for children. According to statistics from the Department of Children (Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs), the Covid-19 pandemic has left 4,461 Vietnamese children orphaned, including 193 children who have lost both parents. Particularly, the Covid-19 outbreak has negatively impacted these children's physical and mental health. In recent times, like other provinces and cities across the country, Khanh Hoa has been adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, directly impacting the lives of children in the area. In Khanh Hoa, there are 7,000 children infected with Covid-19, and 24 children have lost either their father or mother due to Covid-19.
With the witness of the Prime Minister, Mr. Truong Gia Binh - the Chairman of FPT Corporation and the Chairman of the Founding Committee of Hope School, welcomed ten students from Khanh Hoa province to enroll in Hope School, Da Nang.

Furthermore, to timely support the material facilities for the care and education of children at the SOS Children's Village Nha Trang, the Party and the Country's leaders have gifted them with an 85-inch TV and a classroom with 20 computers. These gifts are also the hope of instilling more trust and resilience in the children, encouraging them to believe in life and strive for academic achievements. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh shared, "The pain of these children cannot be compensable, so everything we do, every action and thought, must aim to compensate them as much as possible. That is the highest goal. We must help them gain a strong spiritual foundation to avoid self-consciousness about their losses and enable them to develop their potential to fullness. From there, they will become responsible individuals for themselves, society, and their homeland, showing love for their families and being helpful to the country."

Nguyen Khanh Bao Ngan, an 8th-grade student at Le Hong Phong Secondary School in Cam Ranh City, representing the orphaned children due to Covid-19 in the province, expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the attention given to them by the Central and local authorities, and her excitement about starting study at the new school - Hope. Bao Ngan and her younger sister will attend Hope School shortly.

The Hope School has received love and support from international friends

Hope School is unique as the students receive care from not only the Prime Minister of the Government but also international friends from France, Japan, Taiwan, the United States, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, and more. These are exceptionally humane and meaningful programs for individuals, organizations, and foreign businesses.

In February, for the first time, the students had the opportunity to learn music, chess, painting, sports, and cuisine in a completely new way from a group of young French and French-Vietnamese people living and working in Vietnam. In addition, the students learned sports such as surfing, skateboarding, and street music art for six consecutive months. Over a month later, the students received another special gift from Japanese businesses and the Government. It was an educational project that used music to heal wounds and awaken happiness - a precious gift for students with particular circumstances. With the desire to bring symphonic music performances to children with special conditions to inspire them positively with love - the seeds of hope, and to help them gain more faith and hope in life, the project is expected to last one year with three organized events.

Earlier in September 2021, FPT Corporation's Chairman of the Board of Directors, Truong Gia Binh, initiated the idea of building a school for children who lost their parents due to COVID-19, with the aim of creating an environment where they can be cared for, loved, educated, and trained, turning their pain into strength, and ultimately contributing to the future development of the country. From Chairman Truong Gia Binh's suggestion, the project has been urgently implemented with the desire to welcome the children to the school as soon as possible, to provide them with a nurturing and compassionate environment, a cradle for a generation that grows up from suffering, yet remains resilient and moves forward. In February 2022, 34 students of different ages from various localities were enrolled in the school and started their learning program. The oldest student is 18 years old, while the youngest is six years old. They were all assigned to corresponding classes to continue their studies for the second semester, building on the curriculum they had learned in their hometowns. On August 26, 2022, 200 children from many provinces and cities across Vietnam entered their first school year at Hope School.

On the journey to fulfill its mission of perfection, in addition to the resources from the founding board that includes FPT Corporation and Hope Fund, the school has continuously received attention and support from many businesses, organizations, associations, and individuals who share the same desire to provide the most nurturing and loving conditions for the children. This compassion and love have extended without limits, regardless of any distance. The love of society and education facilities are the two foundational pillars for the comprehensive development of students' body, mind and spirit, hoping they will become helpful people in the community.
