National Data Center Achieves TIA-942-C Rated 4 Certification for Design Phase

The National Data Center has officially received the TIA-942-C Rated 4 certification for its design phase — the highest international standard for data center reliability and safety. The project’s design consulting was undertaken by FPT and its strategic partners. Together with its previously awarded Uptime Tier IV design certification, the National Data Center continues to demonstrate strict adherence to world-class quality standards from the earliest stage of development.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyễn Ngọc Cương, Director of the National Data Center, emphasized that this milestone affirms the center’s design has fully met the requirements of the international TIA-942 standard. This serves as a solid foundation for deploying, operating, and managing the national data infrastructure in alignment with global expectations for reliability, safety, and security.

Mr. Cương added that under the close direction of the Ministry of Public Security, along with the determination, unity, and creativity of all officers and staff, the National Data Center is poised to become a symbol of Vietnam’s technological capability — a regional-scale, world-class facility meeting international standards in both design and operation.

The TIA-942-C Rated 4 certification is not only a prestigious international recognition but also a testament to the National Data Center’s capability, vision, and commitment to building a modern and highly secure digital infrastructure that supports the country’s sustainable development in the digital era. This is also the first data center in Vietnam to achieve the Rated 4 Design Certification.

Previously, the National Data Center had also obtained the Uptime Tier IV design certification, confirming that its technical design documentation meets the most stringent global requirements for reliability, availability, and fault tolerance expected of a Tier IV facility.

FPT is honored to have partnered with the National Data Center during the design consulting process. The project underwent a comprehensive and rigorous evaluation based on international standards, in which every design detail was required to meet strict criteria for full fault tolerance, continuous availability, and maximum redundancy to ensure uninterrupted operation under all circumstances.

Achieving certification at the design phase not only reflects strong technical capability and a systematic project management approach but also demonstrates a clear commitment to building a data center that meets the highest operational standards.
