On June 13, 2024, Mr. Phan Dinh Trac, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Head of the Central Committee for Internal Affairs, visited FPT Corporation's centralized information technology (IT) park in Danang.

Attending the working visit at FPT Complex, along with Politburo member Phan Dinh Trac, were also: Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang City; Mr. Nguyen Long Hai, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Business Sector, Member; Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Member; Mr. Pham Van Linh, Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Member; Mr. Pham Minh Tuan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Review, Member of the Central Theoretical Council, Member; Mr. Duong Trung Y, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Member.

The delegation of Party and State leaders highly praised FPT's forward-thinking approach to staying ahead of global science and technology trends and the Corporation's contributions to the country's development goals.

Additionally, FPT has created numerous high-income jobs and developed a highly skilled workforce for Vietnam", Politburo member Phan Dinh Trac commented.

In Da Nang, FPT is working toward transforming the city into a global digital resource center. The Government recognized the FPT Complex as a central IT park in 2023. Additionally, the FPT Complex building is expected to complete its third phase and be operational this June. "FPT Complex is aiming for a 30% increase in personnel, planning to recruit 2,000 more employees. By the end of 2024, the total number of employees is expected to reach approximately 7,500", said Mr. Nguyen Tuan Phuong, Chairman of FPT Software Da Nang. Mr. Phuong also disclosed plans for the commencement of construction on the FPT Innovation Center (FIC) project, aiming to expand further and enhance investment in Da Nang City.

As a strategic investor in Da Nang, Mr. Pham Minh Tuan, Executive Vice President of FPT Corporation and CEO of FPT Software, affirmed: "FPT will partner with Da Nang to advance the city's development by continually embracing cutting-edge technologies and leading trends, contributing to the realization of its development strategy. Specifically, FPT aims to collaborate in the semiconductor sector, a pivotal technology for the Corporation. The goal is to assist in human resource development, foster high-quality semiconductor industry talent, and position the city as Vietnam's "Silicon Valley." FPT is committed to achieving its target of training 10,000 semiconductor professionals by 2030, with annual growth expected to reach 20,000 to 30,000 individuals after that."

To cultivate high-quality human resources in Da Nang, the FPT Education Organization aims to enroll 17,500 students by the end of 2023. Additionally, FPT hosts the International Student Exchange Center (FPT Edu Global) and the Semiconductor Human Resources Training and Export Center in Da Nang. These initiatives are geared toward training and supplying the city's high-quality workforce.

By 2030, the digital economy in the city is projected to contribute at least 30% to the city's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), supported by an estimated 8,950 businesses and 115,000 professionals in this sector. Microchip production is specifically identified as a critical area of focus for development.

In addition to its commitment to developing the semiconductor industry, FPT representatives highlighted four other critical technology areas: AI, electric vehicles, digital transformation, and green transformation. FPT has strategic investment and collaboration programs in these domains and has achieved significant breakthroughs.

In the realm of AI, FPT collaborates with global leaders such as NVIDIA, Mila AI Research Institute, and Landing AI. Concerning electric vehicles, FPT employs over 4,000 engineers and experts in automotive software, with a network of over 150 renowned customers worldwide, including brands like Honda, Hyundai, Volvo, VinFast, Ford, Yazaki, LG, Panasonic, and NXP. Regarding digital transformation and green transformation, FPT is actively engaging with organizations and businesses through various practical initiatives, which include advising on green transformation roadmaps across multiple sectors and collaborating with USAID to advance goals related to green transformation. FPT has set ambitious targets to achieve Net Zero emissions by 2040.
