From September 1st, passengers could print their train tickets without taking them to stations as before. This was one of the highlights in phase II of the project "to provide railway e-ticket system for the Viet Nam Railways Corporation (VNR)" implemented by FPT IS.

According to the VNR, as of the end of September 1st, nearly 20,350 tickets were sold via the e-system. Nearly 600 out of these were sold via the Internet.

On the first day, there were some difficulties such as secretaries and ticket collectors did not get used to using the devices, some tickets were not invoiced. However, by the end of the day, passengers got bills already as well as looked up their information by entering "ticket code" and printed their bills at www.hoadon.vantaiduongsathanoi.vn for stations from Kim Lien to the North; www.hoadon.duongsatsaigon.vn for gas from Da Nang to the South.
