'Vietnam will develop if there are many enterprises like FPT'

IT is seen as a promising direction to help Vietnam reach the world level. Thus, during the visit to FPT Corp on September 11, the young scientists believe that the firm as well as others in the same field would help improve the position of the nation.
On September 11, the young scientists had a meeting with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and leaders of the Ministry of Science & Technology (MOST). Listening to their recommendations, Mr. Dzung wanted the meeting to become an annual event. "The government will do the best to promote the development of high quality human resources and strengthen science and technology. The future science depends on young scientists," stated the Prime Minister.
In addition, the Prime Minister said that it was necessary to create favorable conditions to make our potential and competitive fields become national keys for competition.
FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh talked about the paradoxical problem that despite its low labor productivity, science and technology was considered a national policy. Mr. Binh pointed out that the key issue was that country’s ability to acquire science and technology.
On September 11, the representative of FPT Corporation and several MOST leaders had a view exchange with young scientists about work environment and policies that encouraged young scientists to unleash their passion and creativity, and then bringing science and technology studies into manufacturing and business, improving productivity and increasing the competitiveness of the economy.
On the same day, the MOST leaders and 68 outstanding young scientists made a visit to F-Ville and FPT University located at Hoa Lac High Tech Park. This visit was part of the 2015 meeting between the Prime Minister and young scientists by MOST which aimed to recognize their own contributions to the development of the country in general and science and technology in particular. Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, a Math lecturer of FPT University was selected as one of 68 outstanding young scientists.
During the visit, the FPT leaders including Chairman of FPT Software Hoang Nam Tien and Rector of FPT University Dam Quang Minh led the delegation to visit F-Ville - the first and largest-scale software project at Hoa Lac High Tech Park and FPT University - one of the well-known facilities for information technology training in Vietnam.
One of the young scientists Vu Thi Ngan, Quy Nhon University was impressed with FPT University and F-Ville. "After visiting the facilities of FPT University and FPT Software, I realize that you pay attention to details in order that staff can wholeheartedly devote themselves to the to the company. If scientists are given such conditions, there will be more good results. In particular, I like the clean and green environment of FPT. This is the ideal place for people to try their best".
The scientists also saw FPT robot performing, then showing the technology trends the Corp are following. In his speech, Chairman of FPT Software Hoang Nam Tien hoped that FPT would be a place "full of creative inspiration" for scientists.
Witnessing the deployment of science & technology in enterprises, Mr. Hoang Van Tung, University of Architecture, commented: "Both FPT leaders and staff have professional style. I am impressed with your attention to people, from eating to sports and entertainment. Vietnam will develop if there are more businesses like FPT because IT is the great way to help the country reach the world level in the fastest way.”
68 young scientists were selected out of nearly 300 outstanding scientists under 35 years old in the fields of engineering science, natural science, social and human sciences, agricultural sciences, medical science. In addition, the scientists have to gain science and technology prizes, protected inventions and solutions and more than 10 articles published in prestigious international journals etc
