Vinphaco Partners with FPT IS to Initiate Digital Transformation Project for Corporate Management

Recently, Vinh Phuc Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (Vinphaco) has embarked on a transformative journey, partnering with FPT IS to implement the SAP S/4HANA comprehensive management system and 'Made by FPT IS' solutions. This strategic alliance is a significant step towards Vinphaco's growth objectives in 2024, setting a strong foundation for its digital transformation roadmap through 2028.

This project is supported by the Improving Private Sector Competitiveness (IPSC) project. Within this framework, Vinphaco stands among 35 enterprises benefitting from the Pioneering Enterprises (PEs) Program under IPSC. This initiative offers financial assistance geared explicitly toward implementing SAP S/4HANA modules.

The collaboration involves the implementation of core modules of the globally recognized SAP S/4HANA system, specifically designed for the pharmaceutical sector. This will be complemented by four innovative 'Made by FPT IS' solutions, creating a comprehensive management platform. FPT IS will also introduce the FPT Mobile Apps solution, featuring three applications (available on IOS & Android) catering to three distinct target segments: Pharmaceutical sales representatives, Delivery Staff, and Customers.

FPT Mobile Apps, exclusively developed and deployed by FPT IS, is tailored for enterprises in the pharmaceutical and consumer goods distribution sectors. This solution facilitates seamless connectivity between pharmaceutical businesses and customers, bolstering sales across traditional channels such as OTC (Pharmacy), ETC (Hospital).

Vinphaco and FPT IS have formally inaugurated the SAP S/4HANA project.

Vinphaco stands as a premier manufacturer of injection drugs in Vietnam, renowned for its adherence to GMP-WHO standards. The company boasts production lines dedicated to lyophilized powder injections, solution injections, various types of pills, and health protection foods. Celebrating its 65th anniversary in 2024, Vinphaco aims to achieve a total revenue milestone of 1,020 billion VND. Concurrently, the company is diversifying its export markets, securing contracts from 20 countries globally. Additionally, Vinphaco invests in new production lines and integrates advanced technological processes.

The rapid expansion of production and operational scale has necessitated upgrading Vinphaco's operational management system. Having implemented an enterprise management system (ERP) since 2012, the company seeks to innovate to align with evolving development requirements.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Viet, CEO of SAP Vietnam, the SAP S/4HANA system will enable Vinphaco to surmount operational hurdles and establish the groundwork for exponential growth. With the collaboration of FPT IS, we are confident that the project will be executed successfully, unlocking Vinphaco's full potential," Mr. Viet remarked.

The collaboration entails deploying the SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud solution alongside "Made by FPT IS" solutions across Vinphaco's headquarters office, pharmaceutical factory, and representative offices. The project is structured into two phases. Phase 1 primarily focuses on implementing the SAP S/4HANA software system with the following modules: FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Management Accounting), FM (Budget Management), MM (Purchase & Warehouse Management), PP (Production Management), QM (Quality Management), SD (Sales & Distribution Management), along with the integration of FPT Mobile Apps, FPT Trade Promotion, eInvoice system, and eBanking system. Phase 2 will expand the SAP S/4HANA software system to include additional modules: WM (Warehouse Management), Barcode, and PM (Plant Maintenance).
