akaBot wins Best Process Automation award at The Asian Banker 2021

The introduction of the akaBot platform into processing helped TPBank and FPT Software winning the Best Process Automation award at The Asian Banker Vietnam Country Awards 2021.

The akaBot platform developed by FPT Software for TPBank is the only solution to be awarded in the Financial Industry Innovative Technology category at the recent award ceremony of The Asian Banker Vietnam Country Awards. This award category provides recognitions for outstanding technological innovations that are practical for organizations and businesses in the finance and banking industry, delivering outstanding results.

The representative of the jury of The Asian Banker gave their highest regards to the akaBot solution thanks to its outstanding advantages in terms of comprehensive application features on a large scale, its RPA core (Robotic Process Automation) is a new and optimal technology, capable of minimizing errors thanks to the ability to calculate, balance risks and choose appropriate solutions. As a result, banking operations have saved considerable time and costs. The above criteria were also tested in practice through akaBot's activities at TPBank, starting from mid-2020.

In the last six months of 2020, FPT Software deployed 75 virtual robot assistants for TPBank to automate daily operations such as opening/closing accounts, money transfer/withdrawal, opening/closing passbook to help promote digital transformation to optimize operations, ensure 24/7 service, save manpower and increase labor efficiency. This also contributes to the bank's increase in total asset value to 24.47% compared to 2019, exceeding 14% of the 2020 plan.

"With a small investment, we managed to achieve results twice as much as the investment value, saving about 45 employees.", Mr. Tong Van Tien – the Director of Digital Innovation, Information Technology Division of TPBank gave his affirmation. In 2021, the bank continues to deploy 145 akaBot robots, expecting to increase processing robot task efficiency by 20-30%.

Previously, akaBot won the Gold Award in the "Excellence Award for Innovation in Products & Services" award ceremony by Stevie Awards Asia - Pacific region in 2020, the Bronze Award of "Digital Process Automation Solution" in the International Business Awards 2020, and was included in the list of Peer Insights by Gartner organization and 20 leading companies in the world such as UIPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism.
