FPT's revenue and profit before tax increased by 20% in 2021

FPT's revenue and profit before tax (PBT) reached VND 35,657 billion and VND 6,335 billion in 2021, increasing 19.5 percent and 20.4 percent, respectively, over the previous year. Earnings per share were VND 4,346, up 21.4% on a year-over-year basis. As a result, the Group has achieved 103 percent of its sales target and 102 percent of its full-year profit before tax aim.

This is the result of FPT's commitment to implementing its internal digital transformation strategy across all functional areas, from human resource management, finance, and business to process automation and digitalization cooperating with customers, etc. These factors enable FPT to respond quickly and aggressively to the complex and unpredictable developments of Covid-19, thereby safeguarding the lives and safety of employees in 27 countries and ensuring smooth, efficient, and increasing commercial operations.

FPT has achieved 103 percent of its sales target and 102 percent of its full-year profit before tax aim.

In 2021, DX revenue continues to improve with the accumulated revenue of VND 5,522 billion, an increase of 72% over the previous year, emphasizing digital technologies such as Cloud Computing (Cloud), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Low code, etc.

The technology sector (including Domestic and Global IT services) generated VND 20,736 billion in revenue and VND 2,799 billion in pre-tax profit, respectively, increasing 23.4 percent and 24.3 percent year on year. The technology sector contributed 58% of revenue and 44% of pre-tax profit, ensuring the segment's continued dominance as the Group's primary business unit.

Sales increased in all regions globally, but particularly in the United States and Europe, thanks to high Covid-19 vaccination rates and a modest rebound in economic activity. The US market alone had a 52% growth in revenue, reaching VND 4,369 billion. FPT recorded 19 large deals with the value of more than 5 million USD each in 2021, owing to continuously advancing technology and human resources capabilities.

IT service revenue totaled VND 14,541 billion in overseas markets, and PBT totaled VND 2.423 billion, up 21.2 percent and 23 percent, respectively, from 2020.

Domestic IT services generated revenue of VND 6,196 billion, up 29%, and PBT of VND 377 billion, up 33.9 percent from the previous year. This is the outcome of FPT concentrating on the development of Made by FPT solutions and platforms and honing its capacity to provide full digital transformation goods and services to meet the needs of the government, corporate sector and individuals, who are accelerating the change to a digital world as a result of the pandemic.

The Telecom Services generated revenue of VND 12,079 billion, an increase of 11.2%, and a pre-tax profit of VND 2,119 billion, 16.5% over the previous year.

FPT was recognized for its efforts to overcome obstacles and continuously innovate to sustain positive growth momentum in the ranking of the 50 Most Effective Business Companies in Vietnam 2020 - 2021 by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine annual collaboration with Thien Viet Securities Company. The Top 50 is determined by examining a company's business results over three years, focusing on three growth indicators: revenue, return on equity (ROE) and return on share.

Notably, according to Anphabe's "Best place to work in Vietnam" survey, FPT topped the list of "Best place to work in information technology, software and applications, and e-commerce". This is the second time in a row that the group has won this title and is also in the "Top 50 Vietnamese enterprises with attractive employer brands in 2021".

Technology and telecoms will continue to be critical corporate sectors in the future. The Group's long-term objective is to participate in the digital transformation process for enterprises and organizations worldwide, ranking among the world's top 50 digital transformation service providers and pioneering digital transformation.
