DENSO And FPT Software Launch the Hackathon with a Prize of 200 million VND

DENSO Factory Hacks is a Hackathon for technology enthusiasts, organized for the first time by DENSO Vietnam Co., Ltd. (DMVN) and FPT Software. The competition aims to create practical solutions using core technologies such as data, artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (AR/VR), Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud computing, etc.., to optimize the operation model within DENSO factories. The total prize money is up to 200 million VND.

Participants will have the opportunity to work with leading technology experts from FPT Software and DENSO, as well as gain hands-on experience in DENSO Vietnam's manufacturing plants. It is expected to be a professional and large-scale competition that engages workers, students, and tech lovers in information technology, electronics,  telecommunications, automation, and mechatronics.

Participants will need basic knowledge or an interest in Data Science, AI, and IoT to join the game. The competition will be organized in self-formed teams, with a maximum of five members and no nationality/territorial restrictions.

The Hackathon DENSO Factory Hacks takes place from September 5, 2023, to January 10, 2024, comprising three rounds: CV Screening, Elimination Round, and Finals. The 20 teams that pass the CV screening round will receive their topics at the first Bootcamp session on October 10. Each team will be given guidance and support from a technical advisor, as well as workshops on data processing and programming for multiple devices.

Each of the top 10 teams chosen for the Elimination Round will receive financial support of 5 million VND to develop their products and solutions. During this round, technological breakthroughs and applicability in factory operations are critical criteria for shortlists.

The five teams that make it to the Finals will spend two days working at the Codecation Hola Park campus of FPT Software, seeking solutions and presenting their proposals. The champion team will receive a cash prize worth 100 million VND.
