FPT and McKinsey to identify breakthroughs to help Khánh Hòa’s steady growth

On 27/05/2021 - Khánh Hòa province’s Department of Planning & Investment along with McKinsey & Company Vietnam LLC and the FPT Corporation have signed an agreement to establish the Khánh Hòa provincial planning process, period 2021 -2030, with a projected end goal of 2050, aiming at the future of turning Khánh Hòa into a major maritime business, tourism, and national service center by 2025.

Per Decision No. 1208/QĐ-TTg of the Prime Minister regarding the mission to establish the Khánh Hòa provincial planning process, period 2021 -2030, with a projected end goal of 2050, this plan will be a key strong point from which the local government of all levels can chart out policies and kickstart development, aimed at the stable growth of all three major pillars: economy - social – environment, and guaranteeing stable advancements in the long run.

Innovating and improving the quality of the provincial planning are also regarded as one of the four strategic breakthroughs of the local economy – social development in the near future.

The planning of Khánh Hòa province will be for FPT and McKinsey to research and execute based on 3 crucial qualities. Firstly, the determination of pioneering breakthroughs, determined based on the province’s pre-existing strengths, while also utilizing new technology to effectively exploit its potentials and opportunities for the zoning and development of its key business areas. Secondly, the proposal of solutions that are effective and possible based on experience, knowledge, and global trends, in order to resolve recurring issues, aimed at the goal of powerful and stable that is unique and characteristic to the Khánh Hòa province. Thirdly, the rapid pace of deployment, bringing instant results through the mobilization of internal staff, connecting with experienced partners to implement key projects.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh – Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Party Committee emphasizes: “One of the most vital elements in creating the plan for Khánh Hòa province this time isn’t just starting with clear goals, but also interweaving with aspects of green growth, stable development and utilizing the innovations of the 4.0 revolution, especially digital transformation. These elements will help create a rapid and stable development for the province”.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee shares: “This partnership between a top Vietnamese corporation and a global consultation firm will elevate the planning of Khánh Hòa province to new heights, helping to boost the local socio-economic growth in the coming future. This agreement will also help incentivize individual organizations both domestic and foreign to participate in the socio-economic planning of the provinces throughout the nation”.

Prior to this, FPT and McKinsey have singed a partnership to help Bình Định province become the economic center of maritime Central Vietnam and the leading AI center in the region.
