FPT Supports Khanh Hoa in Digital Transformation and Green Development

The event was held on April 2 as part of the Khanh Hoa Province's 2023 Planning and Investment Promotion Conference. At the event, FPT's representatives received a memorandum of understanding for investing in an urban education area, technology development, and software production from the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.

“FPT accompanies Khanh Hoa in leading digital transformation”

At the event, FPT Corporation signed two memoranda of understanding (MoU) for cooperation with the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province, including an agreement for comprehensive digital transformation and high-quality human resources training; and an investment MoU for an urban education area, technology development, and software production.

According to the cooperation agreements, FPT will accompany Khanh Hoa, making the province one of the centers for high technology and high-quality technology resources in Vietnam. In addition, both parties will jointly develop an IT labor force in terms of quantity and quality, meeting the demands of technology development of organizations and enterprises in Khanh Hoa province and nationwide.

Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation, shared: "I see the potential of tremendous development in Khanh Hoa. If these visions turn into reality, this will be a strong driving force to lift Vietnam out of the middle-income trap and achieve sustainable growth in the coming years. Does this dream depend on Vietnam's desire for it? Do we want to change our lives with that dream? FPT believes in that. We promise to implement the urban education area, technology development, and software production complex in Khanh Hoa next year. Recently, FPT has been actively accompanying Khanh Hoa province on its digital transformation journey, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the local challenges and advantages. In May 2021, FPT, along with McKinsey & Company and the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, jointly developed a master plan for Khanh Hoa province for 2021-2030, with a vision towards 2050. Regarding the discussion, FPT and McKinsey proposed three projects covering about 850 hectares in Nha Trang City and Van Phong Economic Zone. In the coming time, FPT will make every effort to support the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee in implementing the action program into specific tasks and projects, closely following the Resolution on Digital Transformation of the province, in line with FPT's capabilities and strengths, as assigned by the Provincial People's Committee. The corporation will support Khanh Hoa in actively participating in the fourth industrial revolution, making Khanh Hoa one of the leading provinces in digital transformation with three pillars: Digital government - Digital economy - Digital society.

FPT is the only partner to develop the software for the Investment Promotion Portal of Khanh Hoa province

In the same event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, leaders of ministries, leaders of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, and representatives of FPT jointly pressed the button to inaugurate the Investment Promotion Portal of the province.

The information portal includes information retrieval on planning, project implementation procedures, and information processing contacts. Through the information portal, investors can easily access information about the province's development orientation; planning at various levels; a list of projects calling for investment outside the budget, and guidance on investment procedures. Impressively, as the first and only one so far, Khanh Hoa province's investment promotion information portal is directly connected to the updated planning data of the region, providing convenience for investors in searching for comprehensive facts.

In the first version launched in April 2023, regarding planning, the information portal will provide basic knowledge on land use planning of localities and approved general planning. After upgrading and improving, in the future, the portal will offer periodic Information on economic and social aspects, Detailed planning of projects, urban areas, and industrial zones, and Progress of projects implementation. This data helps to enhance transparent management coordination among sectors and makes it easy for citizens and businesses to search for figures. Here is the first step in FPT's journey to accompany Khanh Hoa province in digital transformation.

The official announcement of the operation of Khanh Hoa province's investment promotion information portal is an essential part of the event to announce the planning and investment promotion of Khanh Hoa province in 2023, one of the main activities in the series of events to commemorate the 370th anniversary of the formation and development of Khanh Hoa province (1653-2023) and the 48th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Khanh Hoa province (April 02, 1975 - April 02, 2023).

The conference announced the approved plans of Khanh Hoa province, promoting and introducing the potentials and advantages of the region and its development directions to attract investment capital, modern technology, and advanced expertise from domestic and foreign investors to the Khanh Hoa.
