FPT equipped Field Hospital in Thu Duc City with technology facilities
Getting into the nation-wide fiery spirit of preventing COVID-19, FPT had briskly set up the essential technology facilities and equipment for Field Hospital in Thu Duc City right within the morning of June 30th to support the testing and consultation process on the frontline doctors.

Ho Chi Minh City is currently facing the largest spread of COVID-19 within the local community, reaching 3.987 cases as of June 30th. With this complicated and tense of a situation, on June 26th, Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Health had decided to formed two Field Hospitals (Number 1 & 2), specialized in COVID-19 treatment with the capacity of up to 5000 beds.
Right before the operation of the Field Hospital No. 1, FPT Corporation had quickly offer a hand by providing technology facilities and equipment. The objective was to enable the hospital to operate smoothly and safely in the middle of this tensed pandemic situation. On June 29th, FPT had done research, developed strategy and came to an agreed plan with the hospital and started constructing at 1PM at the same day.
The Wi-fi system with 100 routers, covering all 4 blocks with 232 rooms with 2 large band-width, along with online conferencing system – Onmeeting by FPT, 20 PCs, many printers and security cameras had been installed at the two Field Hospitals of Ho Chi Minh City. These were the essential technology equipment and facilities to support doctors in consulting and holding meetings. FPT wanted to contribute in reducing doctors’ direct physical contact in the treatment process, ultimately protect them and prevent the disease to spread out; then, enhance productivity of the field hospital.
Mr. Ha Thanh Phuoc – the person in charge of executing the project of FPT shared that it might regularly take around 5 days of construction with the workload at Thu Duc Field Hospital. However, holding the highest commitment to support the frontline, FPT had tried its best to finish constructing in only 24 hours, despite every obstacle in the center of Ho Chi Minh City – the nation’s hot spot of pandemic.
Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa – FPT Corporation’s CEO claimed: “The installation of technology equipment must be executed promptly and well-timed to join hands in helping frontline doctors to proceed testing and consulting. Facing the intense and unexpected 4th wave of COVID-19, FPT wants to bring the best effort to prevent the spread and to protect the people in Ho Chi Minh City specifically and also national wide.”
The final service check was finished and handed over to the City’s Department of Health within the morning of June 30th. The Field Hospital was then ready to operate with the capacity of 5000 beds.
